Facebook Like Button - Distraction or Trust?

Hey Warriors,

I am looking to add a Facebook like or recommend button to one of my websites. I am working hard to make sure there is no distraction except buying. At the same time need to build trust. We have removed everything except finding your desired product.

Should I place the Facebook like above the fold or in the footer???

I think it depends on how you design your page. Basically, there are some that will be suitable for top part but in a sense, it’s usual to place it at the bottom for marketing. Essentially, you can “like” a product after you’re able to read about its features.

Won’t consider the thumbs up as a distraction. In fact, it can be another mode of promoting the product through Facebook since many people now rely on this simple way of reviewing a product.

I would say that you should instead add the like button to your FINAL page. So that AFTER they buy it they can click the like button. Just make it a like button for the whole domain.

Thank guys. I do have a list of 12,000 (5,000 customers). So I was going to use that to get the like up. My only purpose was to build trust, thats it.
