I need Digital Signature software - Advice ?

Hi Everyone,
I just created a minisite/sales page for my very first EBook.
There are just two things I still need for my site.

1. I need to get my name, that is my digital signature on my sales page.
Does anyone recommend any inexpensive(or free) easy to use software applications so that I can write my name as a digital signature?

2. The other thing I need to know is how to get my free Reports/pdfs accessible to the buyers of my EBook?
I am using E-Junkie and Clickbank. However, I do not see any menu options on how to upload my free reports as a bundle with my EBook for purchase.
Any suggestions?

    Hi Maria,

This might be what you need for the digital signature - check it out at: Online Personal Signature Maker - MyLiveSignature - Free Personal Signature Generator, Email Signatures, Blog Signature
(no affiliation) I hope that helps.

If I provided advice about anything technical I'm sure I would guide you in the wrong direction so I will leave that for someone else.

    All the best,

    Debbie

Put all of the pdfs (reports and ebook) in one zip / rar file and upload that instead.

7zip is free software that can do that for you.

      Maria,
The easy way to do this for me is to simply write your signature on a peice of paper and scan it. Once on your computer you can clean it up with a number of different photo editing software. If you don't have a scanner, simply visit your local business centre or printing place and get them to scan it and email it to you.
Of course you can also buy writing pads that connect to your computer but this is expensive if you only need it for 1 or 2 signatures.

First in order to use click bank you have to have a download page or thank you page. This is where they will be accesing your ebook. You just need to upoad the files to your server then link to it on your thank you or download page. There is nothing to it really.

As far a s the dig sig goes I can not help you their.

      Lou makes a valid point.

      Use mylivesignature.com
they offer an ability to use many different graphic sizes and fonts and it is saved as an image file helping to prevent anyone from copying but NEVER use your real signature that is not a wise move

      Absolutely.

You can download plenty of free handwriting and signature style fonts online. I certainly wouldn't want my actual signature anywhere on the net, you're just asking for trouble.

What the hell is someone going to do with your signature?

I signed my checks with all kinds of crap, and it never mattered. Never so much as a phone call. I actually signed several checks "Go F*ck Yourself" and the bank didn't even bat an eye. The money still went to the recipient, and I got the cancelled check in the mail with my monthly statement.

But God forbid you reduce your fractions. They'll actually ask you to come into the bank for that one.

Have to agree with Lou. Unless you've got like a "back up fake signature" (I know someone who bizzarely has that - not me, btw) you should never put your real signature up on the internet. There's so much credit card and identity fraud going around these days so you never know what will happen if you put your real one up on the net for everyone to steal.

Do not use your real signature on public documents since it can be used for fraud.
I have spent a lot of time evaluating a lot of solutions.
I have some excellent links to summarized list of digital signature and my favourite software that is 100% free but I cannot post them here. (I am a new user ). Let see if I do it later.

Now for digital signature software advice check search for "Top 7 Electronic Signature Services and Their Unique Qualities" make a search for that.

There is some good solutions listed.
The best and 100% free digital signature software that I have found (no limitations what so ever) is "easy signature 1.0" from easysoft. It is a real free digital signature software with encryption possibility and is very easy to use. You can also find other alternative solutions in their WebPage and some good info (pros/cons summary) etc.

Don't really buy in on the concept of using real signature.

The question here is WHY want to jeopardize your personal finance and privacy, when you can just as EASILY avoid it.

Identity theft is a real serious problem- and until you get hit with one- you will never know the serious repercussion that follows that IMHO could be easily avoided by being a little more on-guard with your personal stuffs :-)

        ?

Oh well- we definitely have two different views on what constitutes as "lying" and "being safe on the internet"- I thought both was quite distinctive but apparently it is blurry for some. So, to each their views then :-)

        Good luck with yours Sir.

          lie: Definition, Synonyms from Answers.com

          lie2 ()
          n.
          • A false statement deliberately presented as being true; a falsehood.
          • Something meant to deceive or give a wrong impression.
          Now, just to be clear.

You do not want your signature on the sales page.

Then do not put any signature on the sales page. Problem solved.

But you are saying to put a false signature on the sales page.

How is that not a lie?

If you ask me, that is a warped thinking. Hey, if using digital version of a mock signature is a LIE, then using a pseudonym is a lie too..
            But is it brother?

I don't see any reason why using a "mock signature" for a "mock online salesletter" (OMG- that's not a real sales letter? Such big liar I am then) is wrong or unethical or has any merit for me to stop using them- but hey, if you strongly believe in your views sir, please go ahead with using your real sig

As I say earlier- to each their views and mine was to add some points to this discussion.

Now that we have two different extreme views and none plan to budge- Lets agree to disagree on this

            Cheers!

It depends on the conditions. A pseudonym in and of itself is not a lie; you can have and use as many names as you like.

But we are not talking about having and using several signatures.

We are talking about making a special signature that you don't use, ever, so you can put it on your web site and pretend you use it.

The lie is not about "that isn't your signature." It's about pretending it's your signature. It's not the fiction that is the problem, but the representation of fiction as nonfiction.

I personally would not use my own "real" signature for my sales page, any signature with your name that looks nice would work for you....

If you need a signature, let me know, I will make you one for free, I would need to know the name you want in the signature, and any other wording wanted.......

I will make it into a .png image for you to add to your sales page.

    Here goes my own findings:

There are many tools out there but mostly they cost too much (Continuous cost around 200USD/user/license/year) or are difficult to install/use. The free tools that I have found as pgp and PDF signing are focused on secure email or single signing, rather than the needed functionality for project/quality management (audit trail, approval process, and multiple signatures).

We have evaluated. VeriSign and Silanis total 3 year cost is $558,40.

and also online webb based solutions as docusign and ecosign and other free solutions such as PGP, easy signature and ejbca.

The requirement that we have is the following:
    1) Digital signature with PKI technology.
    2) No dependencies to external server or online solutions.
    3) Free or small cost.
    4) Contains the technical elements of a complaint system such as FDA 21 CFR Part 1).
    5) It should be possible to change to another solution or cancel license agreement without compromising old documentation. Avoiding one way street.
    6) Extremely low IT infrastructure maintenance and cost.
    7) Sign any type of file. Also none printable. (Audio, Video, Production material, etc)
    8) Simple to use and install. (Important).
    9) Full internal control, we do not want to send request to external companies to get a digital signature for new employees.
    10) Optionally: Signature work-flow oriented.(auto email notification, etc) with visible audit trace during approval process.

The best free digital signature software we found is easy signature from easysoft.
It was so easy to get started and it has the basic functionality that you need (also work-flow and approval process).

Play on the safe side, if giving your real signature can cause problems then avoid it before going too late. a chicken handwriting for your signature will do although I find your honesty with your intention.
