How many articles do you write per day?

For those of you who use article marketing as a vital part of their backlinking strategy i was wondering how many you write per day?

This question is obviously aimed at those of you who do no outsourcing and writes evrything themselves using no article spiners.

The reason i ask this is because i have real trouble working out how productive my day has been when i look back on it and your answers might help me out a bit.

Hi there, I seem to be able to manage 2 a day and then submit them to article directories. I find it helps to set a time limit; otherwise, I can manage to drag it out the whole day.

    Hi Martin,

It is a very big variable. Most days it will be in the range of 10 to 15 articles. I have done up to 30 articles in a day, but it was an extremely long day, over 20 hours, and I was exhausted and brain numb by the end of the day.

If the articles need in depth research it will be lower. If I know the topic very well and love writing about it I can knock out 15 to 20 in a day with no problem, and still feel great.

Note: This is mainly writing for clients. When writing for myself I would rarely try to exceed 5 articles in a day.

I'm not doing any for clients at the moment - only my own. I can't remember the last time I did more than two in a day. And more often just one.

Mine are typically about 1,000 words, though. I reliably get more sales - eventually - from a 1,000 word article than I do from two 500-word ones, even though the latter format has twice as many resource-boxes and backlinks and usually a higher CTR, too. And that's true of all my niches.

It surprised me, at first, but it does actually make complete sense.

Got thousands out there .... in my experience though one well written article is worth 100 average ones

    Focus o quality not quantity

For strictly backlinks I write around a hundred 150 word articles.

150 words? You call them "articles"? Guess you don't do EZA do ya?

That's about 10-11 lines of text.

Hi there, I don't like to do more than five articles per day - I find it hard to write more than that unless it is a topic I really love. I seem to run out of things to say, which is why I prefer writing ebooks - with them I have a flow on with the content which for me is easier to write. That said the other day I had an ebook deadline to meet and had to do just over 13000 words in a day for an ebook - I did it but it took me 17 hours with just a couple of breaks and I won't be doing that again in a hurry, lol.

Five to 15, including work for clients. Depends on the day and what else I'm working on. I try to write first thing in the morning, then work on other stuff in the afternoon.

As many as I need to in order to get the job done.

For some niches, you need to write no more than 1 article a day for a few
      days and you're done.

For other niches, you'd have to write 20 to 40 a day just to put a dent in
      them.

The right tool for the right job.

I stopped writing articles for marketing some time ago. It was far too expensive for me to write my own, I have them written for me.
