Ideas for a Flooring Company

I need some quick marketing ideas for a flooring company. I have thought of making a website and having opt ins for periodic sales, Newsletters on "How to Choose Hardwood for Your Home" etc. Do you have any other ideas?

Any help would be great. They are now advertising on TV and the Newspaper but there are NEW ways of doing it now! any help would be appreciated!

    If they're advertising on TV and in the Radio, I'd recommend populating their websites with lots of "how to" content on how to lay flooring etc. All these new visitors to your site will then see the site as an "authority" on the subject of flooring - once they see all this fantastic useful content, they'll be primed to "sign up" to recieve even more of the same. Some demonstration videos would also be good.

      Thanks a lot mookinman. I know that he makes money off of the installation but what you are saying could actually target the people that want to save a buck and do it themselves. Great point! Thank you!

        I would create reports about how to do certain flooring tasks for example how to lay laminate and what to look for in the product etc. Then have people opt in to their email list in order to download the report and then you can start marketing laminate or whatever to that customer for years to come.

        Also you can do some SEO for them which will work them out much cheaper than TV or radio.

    Joint Venture with Funiture/appliance companies (referral sales).

    - Give the Furniture customer a discount on hardwood flooring.
    - Give the hard wood flooring customer a discount on furniture.

    JV with Carpet Cleaning companies renovation companies and interior designers... give them a percentage of the referral sale.

    Offer FREE "in home" hardwood flooring estimates with via online Opt-in form. Also explain the health benefits, longevity, increased home value and ease of care with the product.

    Offer Limited time "Do not Pay until..." programs.

    Offer the customer a deep discount for immediate referrals (family or friend most likely wants to do the same thing and get hard wood flooring).

    JV with the local Welcome Wagon unit for folks who just moved into the neighbourhood.

    Sponsor a local sports team and any other local events for brand awaeness.

    Target new home sales (for the folks who passed on the bloated home builder prices for the flooring) via direct mail.

    Get referrals from real estate agents who want to increase the value and saleability of their customer's home being sold as well, get referrals from the buying agent too.
