Affiliate Marketing is a scam? - The benefits of PRODUCT CREATION

While certainly not a "scam", I am convinced it is not the best or the smartest way to make money online.

True, people are making good money in affiliate marketing every day, many right here in the forum, but I'll never forget the first line to Jim Collin's masterpiece of a book Good To Great...

"Good is the enemy of great," he says.

In my opinion, the best practice (in most cases) is not to promote someone else's product, but rather create and market your OWN product. Do this, and you could soon have affiliates of your very own.

The benefit of affiliate marketing is how easy it is to find a product, the lack of backend support you have to offer (refunds, product questions, etc.), as well as the limited learning curve involved.

But let's face it, there are some serious drawbacks as well. For some products the sales copy doesn't covert, the product itself is no good, and the worst part...the only person getting "rich" in the deal is the product creator themselves. Not you, and not your customers.

My advice to you...

Step settling for affiliate chump change, doing all the hard work for someone else. Instead of promoting someone else's products, create your own product and have other people promote it for you.

This has been my personal mantra as of late...Affiliate marketers don't get rich, product owners and creators do. And more than just a mantra, it's been personal experience as well.

Most beginners are quite intimidated by this idea, but truth be told, creating a product of your own has never been easier.

There is a lot of great and valuable training right here in the Warrior Forum that deals with product creation...especially in the War Room. My reason for posting this is to just encourage you all to work towards product creation. Act as an affiliate if that's what it takes to pay the bills, but when you create products that you own, that you can set the price point for, and from which you can reap 100% of the profits, that is when you do more than just getting by.

PLR is just one easy way to create your own product. PLR, or Private Label Rights, allows you to take an existing product, edit it, put your name as the author, and given a few limited restrictions, sell it as your very own. Again there are many great resources here in the Forum. For a few outside PLR resources, check out these (non-affiliate) sites...

More PLR Products

No matter what niche you're in, browse through the Forum as well as the two sites listed above and see if you can find a related product. More than likely you will.

The next hurdle to face though in product creation is product delivery and all the other "backend" work. I personally use something called the $7 Secrets Script, and rather than explain it all here, check out this (non-affiliate) link...

$7 Secrets Script

When you buy the guide for $7 you also get the script which handles the complete sales funnel in a masterful way.

I know the above is not as detailed as some might need it to be. In that case, feel free to ask any questions. If not myself, someone here would be more than capable to answer your questions and give you further guidance.

My point though is this...

While affiliate marketing is good, selling your own products is great. It's exponentially more profitable, and the good news, it is far less complicated than most people initially think. While there is a little extra work on the front end, the back end results are more than worth it.

I hope this inspires you in some small way to get to work creating your own product today.

All the best,
Derek
