Read This BEFORE You Quit! (and why you should Pivot) [VIDEO]

So many people here on WF will quit a new venture after just a few weeks. Most can't even stick it out for a few months (never mind the years it will sometimes take).

Providing you have put some real thought into the type of business you want to build online, and haven't just chased some get rich quick scheme in a niche or business model you don't even like, then I really think you should NEVER quit and jump onto something else.

I hear a lot of people say that you should quit a project if it is not turning out well. I rarely think that is ever true. You should NEVER quit.

Please, hear me out...

Instead of quitting you should PIVOT. By pivoting you simply change direction slightly.

When you realize that something really is not working (and that usually takes 3-12 months at least), then you take what you have already built up but apply it in a different way.

So if you were in the Kitchenware niche, you don't ditch the niche, you probably don't even ditch the domain you have. Instead you apply what you have learned in that niche in a different direction.

You can experiment with...

- Changing your monetization model
- Changing how you promote the site and build traffic
- Changing the content style on the site
- Change the service or products that you are offering
etc.

It could be the other way round where you have mastered a certain traffic source but are applying it in the wrong niche.

I certainly started making more progress when I applied this tactic, at first I did not pivot, and that's why it took me 3 years to build traction. Once I started to pivot, things really moved much more quickly for me.

The trick is not to quit and jump on something completely new and start over. instead you utilize your existing assets, change direction slightly and move forward.
