How to get high ranking in google with very low competition without killing myself?

Whats up Warriors?

So, earlier this week I launched my College Cooking blog, and I have been getting some great feedback from friends and family. I'm happy they think its cool, and everyone seems to like the content on there.

To my advantage, it turns out the keywords that my website focuses around have very low competition. So, I just wanted to know the best way to exploit this and get ranked around the first page near google without killing myself with hundreds of spun articles, etc.

A few of the top 10 websites have less than 5 backlinks to the page. This has got to be beatable.

Thanks!

    (1) Include the keyword in the Title, Description, and URL whenever possible. If necessary, create simple content such as articles or landing pages that link back to your main site. For example, write an article "Your Target Keyword Here: 7 Things You Need To Know" and have that article link back to your main site. This not only allows you to potentially rank for this keyword based on your on-page optimization, it builds backlinks to your main site.

    (2) In regards to building backlinks, an essential element is building "targeted backlinks". There are many factors at play when it comes to climbing the search engine rankings, but targeted backlinks are a big piece of the picture. What then are "targeted" backlinks?

When you link to your site (from an article, blog comment, etc.) it could link like this ...

    http://collegecooking.info

Or it could look like this...

Totally irrelevant words that just happen to be hyperlinked such as "Click Here"

But a targeted backlink for the above keyword would like like this...See the difference?

    Your Cooking Keyword Here

By using your target keyword phrase as the "anchor text", Google will naturally associate your site with this phrase, and assign it prominence in the search engines. This "double punch" of targeted backlinks and proper on-page SEO will give you great ranking potential.

Just remember to not only focus on keywords with weak competition, but relatively high search volume. You want to make sure it's a "popular" phrase.

    Best of luck,

Use the H1,H2 and H3 tags, then you should use the meta tags and create at least 500 words with a 5% keyword density.

Then backlink under that keyword name for a month or so and wala, you MAY get to position one, dependant on many factors.

You ahve to remember the websites may have NO backlinks or very little, but if the domain name has a large amout of links, they will rank instantly like ezinearticles. It is all about the strength of the website.
