1st On Google On My Computer but...

Hey there!

Sorry if this question has been asked and answered somewhere, I haven't found it. I just created a lens about Christmas Deals on Best Christmas Toys and Best Christmas Deals for 2008 and, on my computer, I'm first on google.com and google.ca for christmas deals keyword. But, when I ask to my friends to check it out, they don't even see it in the first page, am I crazy? What am I missing? Thanks!

The only way I see you on the first page with:
    christmas deals
is when I do an exact phrase match...
Also Google has been known to shuffle serps around for different demographics.
You are searching without quotes right? hehe

It's probably because you're signed into Google.

Google customizes results based upon what 'it' learns from your surfing patterns.

You are right I'm 18th, that was a little bit too good to be true, I was wondering why I wasn't getting the right traffic amount.

Best SEO tip is to get as many respected sites linking to you using your primary keyword as the anchor text of the link to your site.

You can do this by submiting articles to directories, writing guest posts for blogs, and other ways.
