I think the problem is autoblogs in general especially if you using adsense. When your sites trigger alarm bells I believe it then has to pass the human test.

If you use a single dedicated ip, you are just a sitting duck for Google. I would hide behind other people's websites hosted on the same ip.

It's confusing....

You're over-complicating things.

It's NORMAL for lots of sites to be on the same IP address - do you think most hosting companies have always given all their customers new IPs?

If you use the same Adsense ID then obviously Google can see immediately what you're doing.

The IP issue is not normally a problem for most people - I've had hundreds of sites on the same IP and never had any problems.

Trying to 'trick' Google is not a good idea.

The search engines care about PAGES - there are thousands of places that will let you create a page on their servers - just use other peoples servers and spread your stuff around. This is will never leave a footprint, but using the same Adsense accounts on them all will.

Just use your brain and do what makes sense rather than trying to be too clever and doing whatever other people tell you to do.

The more you copy other people's strategies - the more likely you are to suffer if they get caught spamming and you're using the same sites etc.

I suspect that Google does not care if your adsense is on 10 or 1000 sites. On the same IP or on many IP's.

What I do think Google cares about is what you put on the sites.

The most important thing Google is looking for is serving a page that is most relevant and helpful to the site visitor.

People have problems with made for Adsense (MFA) because the site is thin on content, has no privacy policy, no terms of service and no contact page with a real way to contact the site owner.

By thin on content I mean 1 page maybe 2 pages at most about the product or niche.

Many MFA owners try all the back linking products, bookmarking etc. etc. this works for some time but its not sustainable, but content is very sustainable.

Autoblogs just scrape other peoples content right? That's worthless in Googles eyes, it would be in mine too.

Awright so I think we haven't solved this IP problem. If you guys have some experience in building autoblogs and have experienced it yourself about 1 IP, or dedicated IP or hosting issue then please share.

Each person has to make a risk assessment of his business. If you are starting off, there is probably little point in usng complicated hosting options. However, if you run a lot of high risk sites that make a significant amount of money, then it would probably be best if you spread your hosting out. Anyway, it makes business sense because if one webhoster goes down, your entire business is not taken down at the same time. The questions I would ask would be.

1. Are your sites at high risk of being downgrade or banned by Google. The Adsene staff told me that the term MFA is highly controversial and it is entirely up to them i.e. the person who is manually reviewing your site to make the decision.

2. How likely are your sites to be detected and thus reviewed manually by Google. There are a number of steps you can take to reduce your footprint. Splitting your hosting is one of them. Another would be to protect your whois information.

3. If one of your sites is detected, what are the chances of damages to your other sites. There is really where splitting your hosting comes in.

I have had hundreds of sites banned in a couple of dedicated servers within a few months. The banning only stopped once I split the hosting. But the sites I used were mainly eBay turnkey sites that were almost 100% identitcal to thousands already around. Therefore they are considered to be the worse type of MFA sites by Google.
