Is A NEW Client Worth All The Trouble?

I've been reading posts here and everywhere about EASY methods to get clients. Just do this and you'll have a client in 15 minutes.... Make 11 phone calls and you'll get 4 leads which will translate into 1.2 clients... Or get this system and you'll have clients running to get their checkbooks to stuff money in your pants.

Listen. I know there are good ideas and systems to get clients. But there is also a bunch of trash.

The bottom line is that you are going to have to do some W-O-R-K to get the types of clients that you want to work with. When you get right down to it, almost anyone can find a client if they try hard enough. But that is finding "A Client," not always one that you want.

If you've been in this business for any length of time you know that some clients are real bears to work with.... griping about every charge... not happy with the work you do... not seeing the value, etc., etc., etc.

In the ideal situation, you need to have the prospect come chasing you... running you down. You want to be in a situation where you can pick and choose your clients.

Is that possible?

Yes it is.

It is a matter of positioning. As I mentioned in other posts, having something impressive to give away that sets you apart or giving something away that is so valuable, business owners think you are nuts for doing so, makes an impression that is not forgotten.

To do this takes, time, effort, patience, and moxie.

If you take the time to research and "choose" who you want to work with and approach them correctly.... YOU CAN WRITE YOUR OWN TICKET!

Warmly,

Millard
