I suggest you head over to blogger.com and grab yourself a blog. The best way to learn is by doing. Right now you are at the beginning. Starting a blog is good way to start learning. Think of a subject you know about - life in a steakhouse, for example, and get blogging.

This should give you the confidence to sign up for Clickbank and Adsense and then move onto greater things with your own site. But you have to start somewhere.

to say it in the words of "guru" Rich Jerk (lol)..they key with Internet Marketing is "Digital Products". Drop shipping might be alright - but there is no need since you can sell digital products as an affiliate (eg. from Clickbank). Ebooks, Software, Etc..etc... Check out clickbank, sign up for free.

But before you even do that, you need to pick a hot selling niche and a product.

Stuff like, get your ex back (any kind of relationship niche, really), debt relieve (especially in this climate), diet...

Then think like someone in that niche...what motivates them to buy? Why wouldn't they buy?

After that, go hit some forums in your niche...think of things these people would type into google to pay for information...then go do some keyword research. Find good "long tail" keywords (stuff like "how to get my ex boyfriend back") would be a good keyword

Then, after you learn some stuff about it, pick a product that seems to fit well, and write some articles just direct linking to your merchant. You can do that for free at goarticles. SEO your articles by putting the keyword in the article several times.

Keep the articles about 350 words.

After you feel you've gotten the hang of it, go start up a squidoo lens about your product (maybe a review?) and then start writing articles pointing to your lens.

After all that THEN you can start working on a website...

I know this is a lot for one post, but hopefully it will get you started...The key to success only is DAILY ACTION...however small...commit yourself to writing 3 articles a day, spending 30 minutes in the forums, building blogs/lenses, whatever.

Just TAKE ACTION! Thats what most people fail to do and the reason they fail at IM.

Hope this helps! A great starting resource is here:

    Hey "anxious" ...

Making money online always comes down to one thing.

    Traffic, simple as that.

If your able to drive traffic you can make money.

With that start understanding what people are searching for and then
figure out how you can get in front of some of those searches.

    - Make a video
    - Create a squidoo page
    - Launch a website
    - Make a free blog some where ...

    Ect ...

Once your able to drive traffic you can then work on making money with that traffic. I like creating websites using wordpress around what I call
    "commercial" search terms.

Products and services, digital products are great ...
However their are thousands of affiliate programs outside of clickbank.

Anyway ... that is how I started. I focused on understanding what people are search for and then created content around those phrases.

    Congratulations on getting started.

Digital products are the best because of the high margins and low barrier of entry.

To get started I would recommend you go over to Russell Bruson's new contest. he has a ton of free training and will literally hold your hand through it. just go to contest.dotcomsecrets.com

      Here's my advice:

      Pace yourself!

Do the best that you can to minimize wasted time.

The internet has a variety of distractions and they all work differently. Some distractions only take a few minutes out of your day. Others will murder your entire day.

Keep your focus and do not... I repeat... do not try to take too much information in at once.

      The internet will overwhelm you.

    Hey!

I'm an 18 year old from Queens! The Warrior Forum is a great resource so make sure you take full advantage of it! One thing I suggest you keep in mind that I may have lost sight of when I got started here is that most people here have been successful at what they do for a reason. Listen very carefully to the information they give you because it comes from EXPERIENCE....which makes it worth its weight in gold!

In the beginning of the journey you may feel overwhelmed when you're doing all the work yourself, but when you see it start to pay off in commissions you realize it's worth it On that note, when it does pay off you will have the opportunity to hire other people to do the work for you so you can sit back and reap the benefits.

I started in a similar situation to you. I just wanted to work from the convenience of my own home to rack up some spending money. I started producing articles for other Warriors and members of other forums. The work was tedious to some extent, but paid well.....and paid off big.

I don't want to sound like I'm gloating but to give you something to anticipate, I went from writing articles on my own - all day, every day - to my current situation. I now employ two full time writers (as in, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week,) a per-project editor, and a full time project manager (who just quit his desk job to come work for me I might add...) Now it's just up to me to manage my staff and customers (until I hire one more project manager to do that for me.)

The point is, for an 18 year old a very large passive income is possible with some hard work and dedication to your online establishment.

Keep your eyes on the goal!

    Michael

Are you trying to start a business? Or are you trying to make money as an affiliate? It's different how you'd go about each one.

If you're looking to start "Dmunny's Widgets Online Ltd." Then, yeah, find a drop shipper, open a Yahoo! Store, eBay Store, Amazon Store, and sell these physical products online.

But, even if you go that route, it's likely that you will not succeed until you learn Internet Marketing because like with any business, you need to learn how to market it.

To learn Internet Marketing, it's a good idea to start as an affiliate. After some success as an affiliate, you can create your own product and sell it. One basic technique for affiliate marketing is Article Marketing, which is talked about extensively in this forum. Search for article marketing threads and try to learn from them. Obviously, the information you find is not gonna be organized for you, so try hard to understand what comes first and what comes next.

Also, I heard that Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner is a good book to start with in this field. Google it.

    And good luck!

No worries, web hosts usually have at least 1 shopping cart software in their web hosting plan.

My web host gives me 4 shopping cart softwares

      - CubeCart
      - OS Commerce
      - Zen Cart
      - Agora Shopping Cart

Pm for the web host if you want.
