Quitting EzineArticles - Which Has Better Source of Traffic? Squidoo or Hubpage?

I am about to give up on EzineArticles since they are too selective with articles submitted to them and they have so many rules and regulations about submission.

I have decided to submit my website to another directory and was thinking which is the better alternative? Is Squidoo or Hubpage a better choice when it comes to traffic for my website? Thanks!

    If you are wondering why John told you that, maybe you need to ask other established article marketers. I believe they will still tell you the same thing.

    Please review your articles and resubmit them to EZA. I think if your articles are good enough, EZA will not have any problem with them.

    I'm a non-native English article writer/marketer. I have submitted a few articles to EZA and they have never rejected any of my articles. So, if EZA can accept the articles of a Nigerian who can't write 100 words in English without making mistakes, why won't they accept your own?

    I'm just curious!

    I think you have to tell us what have been going wrong so that the experts here can offer you more specific and useful advice.

  • I hate to rain on your parade fated82, but I also agree with the previous two comments. Ezine is fairly easy to write for. Could you post up a sample and let us look it over in order to help you out?
  • EA are the best library of articles. You can't get something better than that, atleast not that trusted!

    Squidoo and Hubpages come later. If you are not accepted by EA the you can't do well with the articles!

    • If I'm reading your post correctly, your main problem is that you aren't getting the traffic to your website that you want, right?

      You should be not only submitting articles to get people to your site, but also doing a squidoo and huppage (along with a slew of other things to get traffic). You want to be doing as much as possible to get visitors. Your picking and choosing is probably the reason your traffic isn't where you want it to be.

      Make a big brainstorming list of ways to drive traffic to your site, then rank each one, and go down the list and implement each one. If you have a converting site, your traffic should increase.

      It depends on your definition of the word "freely". Nothing good comes all that freely.

      But I still submit articles to EZA freely. Yes, freely because EZA has never called the police for me, suspended or banned me for submitting articles.

      I think they should start doing it.
  • Thats why EA is best. Almost 40% of my site traffic from my published EA articles, and yes that is Quality Traffic.
  • I get very good results from Ezine Articles. If your articles are getting rejected perhaps you should consider getting an editor to review your articles. Better yet, do your own editing. The quickest way is to read your articles out loud. Does it sound right? Does it flow? Does it make sense? Just my suggestions for better articles.
  • Are your articles getting rejected, or do you simply want immediate approval? There's a big difference.

    If your articles are getting rejected, you have an issue that needs to be addressed, no matter where you publish articles. Sure, there are article directories that will approve content on the spot and publish it immediately. However, if you've got errors, too many keywords stuffed in, or it's more of a sales pitch than an article (all of which will get rejected by EZA), you still have a problem with your content - even if it's live on an article directory.

    And, no matter what the issue is, don't put all of your eggs in one basket - whether it's EZA, Squidoo, Hubpages, or another article directory. There are plenty of good article directories out there that get lots of traffic and exposure. Take advantage of all of them.

    • Hi Warriors, thanks for the quality feedback. Actually the articles were rejected on the following grounds:

      I did a search and realize that EZA are rejecting links to PLR Sites (my sig) and I won't be able to submit articles if I want to link them all back to my site (which is my goal).

      I contacted them two days ago via email regarding my articles and they have not gotten back to me yet

      So I am currently trying out Hubpage and hopefully it's going well in terms of driving traffic.

  • EZA is fairly easy to write for when you take them seriously. If you do this you should have no problem getting your articles approved. Sure, they do not allow certain "types" of content but they allow most.

    I'm a newbie and I was told by countless "guru" ( in their videos, of course) that ezinearticles really works, you just have to work at it. Seriously.

    I don't know much but I know that much, stick with it and be consistent and you will see results. I plan on doing just that if I find a niche I can go with.

    ( check out my post on that niche help finding thing guy's I need your help. I'm desperate to begin!!!

    • EzineArticles editors make sure your articles are publishable, for the most part. Follow their advice. If they ask you to change something or fix something, do it. Your article will be better for it. Then, once is is accepted at EA, you can bank on guaranteed acceptance everywhere else you submit/syndicate it to. EA is a great filter that helps you build your reputation.

      Trust me, you want your articles clean. Good articles are picked up by other webmasters and published on their sites which can give you nice backlinks from your syndicated resource box.
