Anyone Ever Had to Get Ezine to Whitelist Their Links?

I've been writing for Ezine for many years and all of a sudden two URLs of mine which I have been linking to in my resource boxes for many months suddenly were not being accepted at Ezine.

After a lengthy back and forth in which I had to explain that it's not my first rodeo and I know how to submit an article, they said that they would "whitelist" those two URLs so that it could accept them again. I have no idea why they were having issues with links which have never had issues in the past, but I was wondering if this had ever happened to anyone else?

They may be having some security issues with the urls you are have provided! or you might have misused the Urls..

I have never faced such issues yet and neither want to!!

I suspect it's more likely that a decision was made by a rookie editor (they're taking on staff all the time) and then overruled by someone else.

It's also true, though, that both their editorial guidelines and some of their unwritten (or less clearly written) policies have changed a few times, over recent years. They do explain on their blog that some sites deemed acceptable as resource-box links in the past wouldn't necessarily still be acceptable now. I'm not suggesting that that's what's happened in this instance - just clarifying it for anyone else reading whose experience might be different.

Last year, when I wrote and submitted articles on behalf of some clients, I did get a few rejected on grounds purely to do with the clients' sites linked-to in their resource-boxes ("insufficiently informative content for our readers" or something - as I remember one was a link to a squeeze-page!), which had certainly not happened to me during the previous year.

Policies do change there, and even some of the current polices aren't quite uniformly applied, as you'd expect from a company that size.

I didn't clarify the situation very well. My articles are not even getting accepted for review in the first place is the issue. I'll click submit the article then I'll get a message immediately saying "(my site's URL) is invalid or not responding, please correct the link and try again." All I can do is save the article as a draft and I've written back and forth with Ezine without any resolution since the problem arose yesterday.

I've checked many times and all of my links and sites are up and working perfectly fine. I don't get why I'm the only one this is happening for it appears at the moment.
