InternetBS.net - any good?

I have a constant need of domain names for my offline consulting as well as construction of various web properties, and I also flip domains from time to time when I find good ones.

I recently came across this this obscure little registrar that not many people seem to know about, and it's called InternetBS.net

They sell .com domains all day long at $7.49 (which is pretty attractive since it obviates the need to go coupon hunting all the time). I was just wondering if anyone here has registered their domain(s) through InternetBS.net before, and if so, can you comment on the quality of their customer service and your overall experience with this registrar?

Paul

Hey, this is not a trick question (I know what you're thinking)...this really is a domain registrar!

    Whois information about InternetBS.net

    Updated Date: 26-nov-2009
    Creation Date: 21-may-2008
    Expiration Date: 21-may-2019
The site looks lame and unprofessional. I would say rather than thinking about the $2 extra that we pay on other good domain selling websites, it's better to think about the consistency and keeping the future in mind.

I would not register with them, if you take my case into account.

Well I do use them and have never had a problem. Their prices are amazing! When I did have a problem, they were quick and courteous with their reply. I'd also like to point out that the problem wasn't theirs anyway, it was the registrar I was transferring away from taking a long time to approve it.

You can also try reseller club. Their prices are also very competitive.

Thanks for sharing, Ruth. This is like a little hidden gem that not many people know about. I suppose that you have quite a few domains registered with them as well? Would you happen to know offhand what their .com renewal fees are?

I second this. I have been using them for a little over a year, and I have never had a problem. Their customer service has always been prompt and helpful.

I have been recommending them since I started using them. I know the site may not look as nice as other domain registrar sites, but maybe they focus more on price and business rather than looking good.

I don't register all my domains in one place for safety reasons, so I only have about 15-20 domains there.

As for the renewal, .com's are $8.35.

I have 400+ domains with them so far.

They're the best, fast and responsive customer support.

    I've left name.com for them.

Same here - I like the fact that Internet.bs are not only cheap, they also have free WHOIS Privacy

Thanks, it's great to hear firsthand from people who have used this registrar - if you have 400+ domains with them, you obviously have a lot of confidence in them, and this is very encouraging to hear.

Great find might be using them someday, I think their renewal fee is a regular price as stated at their page "Domain name renewal: same as regular price"

I would never register my domains at a registrar that was relatively unknown, new, small, etc. I use only well established registrars. Registerfly comes to mind when choosing a registrar and what a nightmare that was for anyone having domains there.

Not sure I would register 400+ domains with any one registrar, just in case "something happened". Isn't the trick to spread the love around?
