How Many Keywords Do YOU Target Per Site?
building up a long term, quality site at a respectful pace. began research targeting 5 keywords including my main, exact match domain. while im slowly climbing for them, im wondering if i should wait until im front page to start pursuing others? did some research last night and see at least another 5 i could go after, but i dont want to overwhelm myself.
i am wondering how many of you find new keywords based on what is bringing people to your site. in other words, when looking at google analytics, you can see the long tail and untargeted search terms that led traffic to your site. is this a legitimate way to find new keywords to optimize for.
1 or 2 years after you start a site, how many keywords do you typically end up ranking first page for?
