What to do with Brazil traffic?

I am from the US and one of my sites is getting on average 50 hits a day from Brazil and not many from english speaking countries. Not sure why this is but should I do something to try and convert on this traffic even though I know nothing about Brazil and do not speak the language. I need to somehow get this traffic from english sources. Any thoughts on this?

I'll give you odds he answers "Brazil". There are loads of good products available in Spanish, on various affiliate networks. But unfortunately, in Brazil, they speak Portuguese. :p

heh. Nice. I meant what type of traffic medium - SEO, PPC, PPV, etc.

It would make a difference as to how I would try to monetize that traffic based on how they were getting to my site. Are these Brazilian visitors coming in from a English search engine description or did you buy some traffic and they are sending them from Brazil?

    Hey,

Alot of brazilians speak english very well you know. They have a lot of immigrants living there. Chances are the people who found your site speak english. Brazilians love to learn English, they are also quite fluent in spanish as they have countless surrounding spanish speaking countries. They also love Jui Jitsu and capeira. Oh yeah, Futbol tambien!!!

    Ciao

Brazil is a big market, just don't try to come up with a "learn soccer" product... is like selling a "learn to swim" course to the fishes!

What search terms are they using to find you?

Look at your logs and or Google Analytics to see what keywords and phrases they are using when they find you.

Then put those keywords into Google search. Use +buy, +purchase...
When those sites come up with pages that are selling something, see if they have an affiliate program.

Sign up and get some text links to the products. Write a post for each of the keyword phrases. Find a way to use the affiliate links within your posts.

Not only will you be making some extra cash, but using the search terms in posts will increase your content for those keywords. Then you are helping even more people to find you with those same keyword phrases.

Exactly! How are they finding you? If it is search engines then tap into the keywords they are using and expand and market them. Chances are they are doing a search in English, but you can use a tool to translate your page for them in Portuguese just in case. I thought Google used to have a tool that did that for you.

Anyway, a market is a market. Get after it!

      Hello ThePeaceMaker,

Sorry I don't have enough posts to PM you but if you don't mind hitting me up I would like to discuss some business we are doing with some products we own down in Brazil. Possibly a good connection between us.

      Thanks!
