Is Your eMail Inbox Growing Faster with SPAM??

I am so fed up with spam! Not only do the spammers steal my eMail
address by opting into my forms, but they even spam my Support Desk!

Yes, I have always received spam, but never as fast as it's coming through
now. With each new niche comes a whole new slew of spam.

How do these people learn these techniques - is there actually "how to"
information on how to profit with spam?

In analyzing the stats for one of my clients, I was surprised to see how
many optins were obvious spammers who used the name of "pfizer" and
other readily identifiable spam words. This really skews the stats, since
I was wondering why sales didn't jive with the traffic and optins.

We sell offshore companies; every now and again, we get emails with attached cvs from misguided Romanian and Indian engineers looking for offshore jobs. Usually, the bad English you find in there is quite hilarious - eg., one guy claimed to have his own private lice.

    Disturbing.

      LOL

I also like the spam that is meant to impress you as the "REAL" thing - PayPal
Fed Express, etc. and it's filled with spelling and grammatical errors.

I always wondered if my SPAM filter was working because I receive so much junk.

THEN, I opened an account with zero spam filters. Instantly I began to receive multiple copies of HUNDREDS spam emails. And hundreds more the next day. It's really frightening.

I don't condone it by any means.

It's filling up your inbox because it's cheap to send compared to traditional contact methods.

People must be buying from it, because even though it's cheaper than say direct mail, it DOES cost money. It wouldn't be getting more wide-spread if it was a money-losing proposition.

The freebie emails (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.) have some sort of filtering in place. If you have an account with a local or regional ISP and it's not filtering, double check with their support - some have spam filters but don't enable them unless you ask for it (or sometimes pay for it).

In the mean time, when you need a little break, STUDY it. Scan your inbox and see which messages made you WANT to open them, even though you KNEW it was spam.

Open those and see what motivations they use - what areas nearly drive you to click?

Analyze that info and then put it to use in your legit marketing efforts.

    All success,
    Gary
