After effects is good, but there is a learning curve. You can pay to get a lot of good videos done for the price you pay for AE and the time you spend learning it. I can get the video in Google Warrior's sig done for less than $10 all day...

It's not the tool; it's the talent. ... I've seen crappy videos made with super-expensive tools. If you think you can't make a superb video with PowerPoint, go check out some of Andy Jenkins' stuff. The dude has enough money to buy whatever he wants (and has, it seems), but he still uses PowerPoint (or actually Keynote - which is Mac's alternative, but basically the same thing). From what I understand, he only sticks it in something like Sony Vegas (which I've heard is very good) at the end, in order to make it easier to get everything to come together.

MobileWitch Remote Control is one of the best software that can be used to control the computer remotely. The program is perfect for business and for their own pleasure! Now you can make a PowerPoint presentation and see the slides on your phone.

Personally I have found a few that do a decent job without frustrating me to death just learning them. Sony & Adobe both have great products but the "learning curve" isn't something I had time for. AVS Video editor, XIlisoft, and Camtasia have good features and are user friendly. I use AVS the most by far, but all have good features. Good Luck

If you want a easier and better looking solution then check out Prezi.com..

Very easy to use, and when you're done, you just record the screen.. Makes good looking videos for me

What you think is "killer" video content may not be the same as everyone else.

When you see a video you like find out who owns it, and ask them how much it cost them to get it produced? Almost all of the big launches will hire people to create the videos, and sometimes that's a lot cheaper than buying software and trying to work out what the buttons do.

It really depends on whether you're referring to effects and such.

Camtasia does me fine and I actually enjoy using it.

I personally use Corel Video Studio... Works great! But, for screen capture I use the free online version of screen-o-matic... the only problem is the site branding on your videos.... Of course I found a work around for this though HA. I make HD screen capture with webcam vid embedded and it all ends up in hd with no s-o-m branding... pretty neat trick.

but, yeah, if you want paid software, look into corel

Well the quesiton is are you a video editor? having the best software would not make your video flashy, it's your skill level!

Not unless you wanna outsource this, you might want to consider learning the basic first.

Absolutely right! It's how you use the tool and make the most out of it!
