Flowplayer and an old version of LongTail video player.

However, with things going HTML5, check out EasyVideoPlayer 2.0.

I am another Easy Video Player 2.0 fan, hence being an affiliate for it. One of only a very few products I deem worthy of promoting! The ability to add in html and buttons throughout the video are to me pretty much invaluable. Also being able to split test different videos easily is pretty hot stuff as well, although haven't yet had enough views on any videos i have created with it to get decent results.

flow and JW are the best! Lots can be done with them. Most of our clients go with JW player although I dont like that the latest version removed the Link function.

I've been using Bitsontherun for tons of videos. Streaming by Amazon Cloudfront.

Bitsontherun have all the fancy features (including a somewhat over-active bitrate switching and automatic switching between flash and HTML5) that you'd expect and if you stream through Amazon, it's very, very affordable.

I'm playing around with EVP2, as well. Might be a slightly cheaper solution in the long run, but apart from that, most of the bells and whistles on EVP2 aren't really that useful, IMO.

A lot of buzz is around about HTML 5 but frankly speaking, HTML 5 now is currently in a state similar to Flash Video as in 2002. The videos need to be encoded minimum in 2 formats H.264 mp4 and Ogg Theora to get a full fallback support for HTML 5. Firefox now supports ogg only.

There are further inconsistencies. Properly encoded H.264s are needed for playback on I-Devices (iphones, ipads). The same H.264 may or may not stream on Google Chrome or Safari.

The other major drawback is the inability to play a playlist of files driven via a database or XML file.

Unless the standards are generalized, it will be hard for both the developers and the users to get a consistent output.

Since 95% of the browsers play flash fine, HTML 5 is currently being targeted for the mobile devices, but there are lots of issues with the Android platform.

We are all looking forward to the developments and pretty soon everything will come to a straight line (I guess).

For now, just stick to good old Flash.

Since video is such a big deal right now. There are always platforms that work really well with a pre-packaged video player.

Video players aren't really a big deal any more.

I recommend FlowPlaye since it fits my site well. I also tried it on other browser and it’s perfectly running. Now you'll have no problems in video not playing from one site to another.

    Flowplayer - easy to customize

I host videos on my server... if the videos are produced correctly they should work play well even long hour and a half webinars (no need for S3 unless you get a ton of traffic all at once)

    Regarding YouTube:
The main argument against YouTube it is that if you click the wrong area on the video, it takes you away from YOUR website, and to the YouTube website. Many times, customers will be trying to pause a video, hit the wrong thing, and WHAM, they are gone from your site - most likely never to return. It's a "leak" from your sales message that you want to plug up.

For HTML5 there is already a few options. It's going to be a choice-rich environment because the standards are open. No proprietary stuff. That's the whole codec issue and supporting OGG. Nobody wants to fork licensing $ to the Motion Pictures Group.

EZS3 is my choice. It's also the ones guys like Frank Kern and Ryan Deiss use. It is very easy to use and doesn't have a whole lot of complicated stuff you don't need. It's simple, reliable and does the job every time. I have found that a lot of the videos I've tried to watch using the Easy Video Player seem to load a lot slower than the EZS3 videos.

I also noticed during the launch of Easy Video Player that they sent out an email to everyone on the launch list saying their server had crashed. Either this was just an excuse to send out another email or worse still, their server did actually crash. If that's the case then I wouldn't trust them hosting any of my sales videos - I need to be certain they are online 24/7.

Its worth bearing in mind with EVP that people can host their videos on their own servers rather than on Amazon, which may well be the reason why you are seeing some EVP videos loading slower than some hosted with EZS3.

I don't know whether their server crashed or not! The cynic in me says that it was an excuse to send out another email. None the less you aren't using EVP to host your videos, they are either hosted on Amazon or they are hosted on your own server, so if it EVP's servers do crash that would have no bearing whatsoever on your site.
