Was curious how many out there purchase PLR content for their websites?

I purchase it and use it for my article marketing (after doing some quick rewrites to each) and also sell plr that I have bought resale rights to.

Yes, PLR material is good for blog posts and articles.

Of course, you will want to re-write them before you post them anywhere or possibly if you want to rebrand it into a product.

I have purchased some plr, and received even more free from promotions and memberships I have joined. They do make good starters for rewrites for your blog or your own articles on ezines.

They are usually so affordable and plentiful, that even when you do get some sucky ones(and I have gotten quite a few), you can either shrug it off or rewite it to make some sort of sense.

I have never purchased PLRs. I write my own content and/or hire others to it.

Those PLRs have been around the block a thousand times and sun this way and that and rewritten by hundreds if not thousands of people.

Your best bet is to think up something unique and write it up or hire someone to do it for you.

Yes, I buy PLR and I can always generate a great return
      on my investment.

A lot of people have a very narrow view about using PLR
but it isn't just about rewriting the content.

        G`day,

well said John, thanks for the Report to mate,
idea off it already 10 seconds after opening it
        ... lol.

Think about this ... you buy a pack of PLR articles
on your niche ... simply cut those articles into an
        autoresponder series interspersing your promotions
thru it ... no need to rewrite it at all

The system you use to activate accounts does not seem to work. I registered on the fireside website. I received an email confirmation. I clicked the link in the email to confirm. I then received another email stating my membership was confirmed.

I try to login to the site and it says I need to confirm my accont before I login (even though I have already confirmed it). So, I clicked the manual confirmation (Activate on Website) which just requires you to type in your email address and password. This takes me a blank page, activate2.php.

No, I can't say that I'm a fan of PLR. I have bought a few PLR articles, but l also like to write my own articles. I guess it's just out of habit.

I buy it for article ideas. The articles themselves are pretty much worthless. I will find decent ideas for articles and completely rewrite them. Good for blog posts and distribution articles.

I buy PLR and use it for article marketing and short blog posts. I always do a quick rewrite. It is really useful for me to generate ideas on a topic. I also sell PLR and I write my own articles and sometimes have others write them.

    Hi

I buy PLR articles which I re-write and use on my site. I used to buy PLR books but can't find many good ones lately.

There's so much that could be done with them if only I had more hours in the day.

I don't personally buy them, as I have more than enough time to write my own, but I do write them and my list always come back for more, so there is definitly those who use them regularly. (Not to mention they are also a good way to judge how a person writes at a cheaper cost than purchasing a unique set of articles.)

When it comes to my main niche... the one I know and love... I write all my own articles, blog posts and my own books.

But I like to venture out and give my list new things... I run 11 cent sales where the price increases 11 cents each purchase... for stuff like that I use PLR products for sure.

PLR can make you a lot of money. Especially if you know how to use it.

Yes, some of it is junk. I never use junk (nor do I ad it to my member site)

Quality is everything. I would take 10 high quality PLR books over 10,000 crappy ones.

When it comes to articles, you have to rewrite the content anyway, and since I type and think fast, I am not sure I see the point in that for me. Unless I had some feeder site or something.

    Just my PLR 2 cents.

BTW- When it comes to a PLR book, does it really matter if 100 other people are selling that book? If you have a customer at your site who has never seen it before, and he wants it, he will still buy it from you. That's a silly argument... I mean, how many bookstores are there in the USA all selling the same books? That didn't seem to discourage Amazon.com from opening yet another book store.

There is a difference. The book that might exist in hundreds of book stores is all by the same author - it's the same book in all the book stores. Same author, same cover, same bio, *same book*.

When all someone does is change the cover and/or title of a PLR book and nothing else - customers who have seen the actual content before will feel ripped off because you presented the book as something different to what they purchased another time (theoretically).

In the online world, the similarity to what you're referring to with one book being in several bookstores is what we call resell rights - wouldn't you agree?

Back to the OT, I do and have purchased PLR material, it's a tool. If the PLR material is crap, the tool isn't very useful - since I have to spend too much time editing. I've also written and sold PLR, done quite well doing that so I know that people definitely buy it.

PLR can come in many forms... I've used it to launch websites fast (after re-writing), but it's more than just "articles". There's PLR videos, graphics, blog posts, etc.

John Taylor said it best, PLR content isn't just for articles on your site, they can be used in various ways:

And quality definitely can vary, that's why it's always good to get a recommendation or check the WarriorForum first before diving in.

You'd be surprised with the hidden gems in the PLR market. They definitely do exist ;-)

I do use PLR articles for my content sites and newsletters. A great form of leverage. However, a lot of rubbish out there and I only use well written PLR. On the other hand, I also sell PLR articles.

I also agree with John, PLR can be used in a variety of creative ways, other than just an article itself.

I use it to compile reports, e-books, audio video articles, etc.

I use PLR reports as a shortcut. It's like being handed a rough draft and I can go in and make it my own.

Actually, the part of PLR that I sometimes find more valuable is the sales page that oftentimes comes with a report. With a few PLR memberships that I have I trash the actual ebook and just use parts of the sales page.
