Do Not Become An Internet Marketing Butterfly.

Butterflies flit from flower to flower. Its constant, its almost like each plant does not contain enough nectar to keep them happy. In the world of Internet marketing it is easy to fall into the butterfly trap.
Each new idea or product that comes along represents a different flower. Are you one of those that flits from one idea to another? Does it seem that each product does not live up to the hype? If so you are in serious danger of becoming a marketing butterfly.

The result will not be good for your bank acount. It will not be good for your beliefs or positivity. Take a moment to think about why you are fliting from flower to flower. Maybe it is more about you than the product. Maybe you lack committment to follow through with an idea. It takes work and loads of it to succeed in making money online. Especially a fulltime living.

Perhaps you have been falling for all the hype and think that the magic button exists that can transform your bank account overnight. There is a lot of very clever copy out there, making it very easy to start chasing dreams. In fact I would go as far as to say, that the majority of us making a living online, probably started off falling for that very same bull.
Butterflies look pretty, but they are never around long. So how do you stop yourself from becoming one?

Take stock of what you actually want to achieve from your online activities. Look at what really works for others. Find people who you trust and follow them. Unsubscribe from lists that do not offer value. Make a real plan that works and follow it to the end. Make a promise to yourself that you will see results before you move onto the next project. Get into the stop buying and start selling mentality.
Above all else do something positive on a daily basis.

Fantastic post! You know, sometimes I feel that "jumping" feeling and honestly it was hard to control for a long time. Since than I have to refocus myself and get tunnel vision on that one subject. I have to stay away from a good portion of these forums to make sure I am not skewing off my original plan. I intend to implement other things slowly...but I got plenty of time.

Good post. However, you don't have to stick to a plan that is not working for too long. If it's not working after you have done all you think that should be done, leave it and move on to something better so that you don't keep wasting your time, energy and resources on something that is not worthwhile.

Wrong path is wrong no matter how you bend it.

    Hi Andy,

Nice to see you putting forth positive vibes...

Hopefully, you're also FOLLOWING your own advice, yes?

I trust that you coaching with Mohammad is going well (hopefully you've been able to start with his family health issues).

Fortunately, this concept gets preached daily for those that need to hear it.

Unfortunately, many agree, and instantly revert back to their old behaviors.

If that's you people, make this the last time you read it without stopping the "butterfly" behavior.

I agree, this is one of the most common mistakes we do, I'm guilty of that too! even when I was adviced about the "new shiny flowers" I couldn't resist. Then you learn to differentiate about what you really need to follow your plan, and what is going to interrupt your flow. I guess is part of the learning process...

Butterflies are also fragile, with a short life span and who can easily get their wings pulled off....

Thanks Andy for this post. Butterflies are beautiful with wings but lack the ability to fly like a bird. Internet marketers should realize as a matter of fact that they can be butterflies or some offers also can be "butterfly" like in nature. If an Internet marketer choose "butterfly" Internet marketing, then he should know that there is no way to fly high.

Superb concept. It’s true, many stating marketers have this problem just like most of us her. Maybe because they are hyped with the concept of internet marketing so they’re pretty much willing to try everything. But of course, it’s important to keep everything in balance. For example, there’s no point in staying in a marketing program if it’s not working but you’ll not go anywhere by doing everything half-focused.

I've got to agree with you. The number one mistake I see is people moving from project to project. Find something and stick with it. Success takes time. You won't be making a million bucks next month, but don't give up.

Sure, we all like to dabble in other projects, but wait until you have a money maker on your hands, and use spare money/time to do those things.
