Woohoo! My First Cheque From Linkshare......

Hi All,

Today, I was so happy to receive my first cheque from linkshare which is sent all the way from US to Singapore and they called it "Int'l Priority Airmail" ...

When I opened and took out the cheque.... i saw "$210" .... wow that's a great encouragement!

But wait.... there's a decimal point just after the digit "2"..... so it's only $2.10! I think the cost of printing and sending the cheque all the way to Singapore is probably more than $2.... hehehe......

Ok, $2 can't make you rich but then it's real money made from internet... someone buys a product through my affiliate link and I got my commission...

Back in 2007 when i first started doing affiliate marketing, I thought the whole thing is just a scam ..... and I will never make a single cent... But I was desperate... my money in my bank account is drying up and I need to think of a way..... so I wrote some articles, post it to ezine ... got some traffic ... no sales yet...

Then ... Bam! 1 sale, 2 sales, 4 sales... then $1000 a day! I think the first sale is very important and it's not about the money, it's about being real and you can make money online... that you don't need a job and work day to night to get money.....

This post is for you, if you have not made a single cent online yet and need that confidence or motivation to write your first article, get your first visitor and ultimately get your first sale and the rest of the journey will be much easier.

Anyone had a similar experience to share?

Congratulations! It doesn't matter that there's a decimal point after the 2, like you said it shows that it can and does work. Now time to keep doing what you're doing and next time the decimal will have shifted

Tell me, I know Linkshare are one of the big networks, up there with CJ etc. and I was looking at Linkshare recently, mostly for product feeds from retailers for a product comparison site. But when I started Googling around I found nothing but negative reports - poor tracking, sales not getting recorded etc. etc. etc. I also posted to another forum asking if ANYONE had ANYTHING good to say about Linkshare. Not a single person replied!

That somewhat put me off them! But if they ARE legit, then I would be keen to give them a try.

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

Linkshare have some CPA programs but it's very exclusive so it's kind of difficult to get in.

I got my sales from itunes.... Sometimes, you just need to test around... try out different networks like clickbank, cj, amazon, shareasale.....

If you are creative enough, you can even work with local stores around your place and workout your own private deals! It is much easier than selling ebooks online.

Don't worry, I will not cash in the cheque.... I will probably frame it up to remind myself that making money online is possible
