Press Release???

Hey guys/gals,

Alright so I was reading a wso thread today and it was on making money with plr products. one warrrior who bought the wso reported income of about 500, he said he followed all the give techniques but he also made some tweaks. one of his tweaks was that he created 2 press releases.

Can anyone tell me what a press release is and how they are beneficial?
Also if someone could point me to a thread that deals with how to make a press release or like a general template.

    They cost nothing and what good they do depends on what niche you're in, how well you write it and how you distribute it.

    You can write and publish them for free, so if you're just looking for a little extra traffic and some more links then you don't need to spend anything.

    If you make them topical and newsworthy then you can get a lot of traffic.

    A lot of people seem to make a big deal out of press releases and think they're something that only big companies can do. This is definitely not the case, but they're also not 'essential' so it comes down to what else you're doing and how well they would compliment your activities - the best way to find out - write a few and do some testing.
