Are bonus' necessary?

I've seen a lot written about using bonuses to help increase traffic and even help get a better ranking with Google. Does it really help that much? Or, do you find you can get along just as well with good content and backlinks?

Not everyone needs them but it's good for the customer and you. Bonuses can increase the sales and make the product worth the buck.

You can get along just fine with good content and backlinks but bonuses help you build a better relationship with your potential buyers. When selling a product it is also very effective to offer an unannounced bonus after purchase. It cuts down on refund requests significantly because it is an unexpected surprise.

Where do you get your bonus' from? Do you create them yourself?

    Yes And No...

You Will Have To Find Most Of This Out Yourself...Try And Fail Game!

But, I Would Say That Bonuses Do Help With Traffic. Not So Much With SEO.

Better Bonuses = More Traffic! (Really What You Want To Do Is To Get People Talking About Your Bonuses, Then Your Really Getting Some Good Traffic!)

    Hope This Helps,

For IM products or WSOs, in my opinion they are near-worthless 90% of the time.

Because the core information or technique you were sold on is in the main book or product while the bonuses were usually worthless PLR, or close to PLR, tacked on to add "value".

For other niches the bonuses are absolutely mandatory, just as they are for late-night infomercials still. They convert and they work.

Just have to test and watch the results for yourself.

Choose your bonus wisely if you use them. If you find one you like but it requires more labor for fulfillment, find a different one.

I see the possibility in two ways and it depends on the type of person

Person 1 grabs whatever freebie deal he can get and walk away

Person 2 is thankful for the freebie and will purchase something.

I realize this is about bonuses which usually comes with the product pre purchased but just something to remember, in my opinion.

    Hi Renee,

I believe bonuses will help you to increase not only your sales but also your relationship with your customers. One important point to note is if you really want to include bonuses, then the bonuses you offer has to be of relevant to the main product that you are selling.

    Hope it helps...

I don't know that they will do anything for your rankings in Google though...

I think it depends on what your selling. I sell mainly small reports and I usually include a worksheet or some checklists or spreadsheets but I never add any bonuses. I try to over-deliver on my product so no bonus is needed.

Now if I sold a large ebook, an audio or video product/course then I would add bonuses because of the price point that these products will be at. Yes I would try my best to overdeliver but I would also included bonuses that supplement and compliment the product.
