Instant messenger facility within membership site - Anyone got any solutions?

Hey folks,

Quick one if anyone has any advice or can point me in the direction of anything you know or / have experienced.

I just thought how awesome it would be on something I am working on currently if members could interact with each other via instant messenger right within the site.

Had a search and have found a couple but they really look like basic sites and don't fill me with confidence so thought I'd reach out here and see if anyone has any solutions for this?

    Hey Dean,

    That's really strange, I've just been looking for exactly the same thing to foster collaboration between members. Hopefully someone can point us in the right direction!

    If you are using a word press blog for your memebership site then you can get a plugin called BuddyPress that allows instant messaging among members within the site.

    Thanks for your comments guys, It's not goig to be with wordpress this time around so not really got a solution as yet.

    Yahoos service doesnt look right for me but thankyou.

    I need it to be it's own service really rather than via yahoo / msn etc

    Anyone know of any others out there at all?
