Depends upon which country you live in. If you manage to secure the #1 SEO rank then that is when you are going to get the maximum traffic - say, around 3000 visitors per month. if you can convert at 4% and sell a product in which you make $30-odd, then that would be $120 per day for you - which should just make the cut. But this is the best case or close to it, which may not be too easy to attain.

      That's easier said than done.

If you're creating something the community wants then you're going to make money. Are you going to make a living with something as generic as guitar lessons? Probably not. That's not to say you wont make a few bucks here and there, but don't just take a gander at search volume and start doing math. When you use linear logic like that your ambitions are going to end in disaster. Because you're going to wind up being lazy since you've already assumed the best case scenario being in the bag.

It is a very risky living.

Competition or google rule change and say bye bye. I would suggest to build something more stable.

First of all the google keyword tool is not that accurate and second of all I would not put all my eggs in one basket. If you really want to see how many searches this term really gets, then setup a adwords campaign with your target keywords to see how many searches that keyword really gets.

This will also let you know if your site will convert, you can also test other keywords and take that feedback from the adwords campaign and then put that into SEO.

Like I said do not put all your eggs in one basket, try getting into some other niches so you can have multiple income streams coming in as well. My advice is you test first with adwords only in your area then see what is profitable, then run with that for your SEO.

Guess it depends on what country you live in to be able to determine how much you need to live on in a day and what you conversion rate is.

If you get to the first spot then you can expect around 40% of the traffic which equates to around 2800 visitors per month, assume you have a conversion rate of 3% (which is a very good conversion rate) means 84 sales a month but only 28 sales at a 1% conversion rate, multiply either of those with your net profit per sale and you should get an idea of what you can potentially make each month...........now is it enough for you to live on??

It would depend a bit on how many other guitar DVDs you are competing with. If you are getting high search numbers in your country and not as much competition then you could do all right with some sales but if you want to make a stable living I would promoting product one, while you are creating product two.

    Best wishes
