What is the best time to post a WSO?

I have posted WSO's in the past but never given a great deal of thought to the best time of day to post them.

What in your opinion is the best time to post a WSO? I'm going on US time since that is probably the biggest market.

It seems to be kind of a pick your poison. I have posted at peak times (morning to midday) and the viewership and sales have been great but short lived because others are posting their WSOs at the same time. I have literally seen my brand new WSO drop several spots on the page in a span of 10 minutes which you can imagine how that affects sales. I have also posted late at night (11, 12, 1am) and while less people are viewing the WSO section my item stays high up on the page for hours longer. Of the two, I'd pick the latter although I am curious what others have to say as well.

there is always this time of the day when more than 1100 plus people are viewing the WSO section. maybe that is the best time - usually around 10 pm - 12am US time. and looks like weekend gets more visitors.

that is from my observation Sheryl

Your comment here made me laugh. IMers where?

When the USA is sound asleep (except CDarklock), Australia, New Zealand, and the entire Asian world is going full steam ahead. Before the USA wakes up Europe is online and busy buying. When one group of hot blooded Warriors is going to sleep, another group is waking up.

If you watch the numbers of people viewing on the Warrior Forum you quickly learn this place NEVER sleeps, EVER!

If your experience tells you the majority of your buyers come from one region of the world, then of course you will want to target a specific time. Otherwise it is probably more of an issue of when you can provide support after it first goes live.

In my writing business I have clients from the UK, USA, Australia, and several Asian countries. I would never be able to choose a "best time".

Hi Sheryl, I used to think that there was a right time and a wrong time to post a WSO. As a matter of fact, some people on here have actually posted WSOs about when to post WSOs. LOL!!! They did all these experiments and research regarding exactly when and what times they were posted, how many were posted, how much traffic was online at the time, the busiest time of day, etc, etc.
But the conclusion was basically the same...nobody really knows. This was back when WSOs were 20 bucks. Now that prices have doubled, WSOs are staying on the first page a lot longer. Most certainly, your WSO no matter when you post it is going to be on page 1 for a large part of the day. I think though, and this is my own observation from having posted some myself, but sales tend to come in during the morning moreso than night. You're in Australia therefore that means you would post your WSO before you go to bed and we in North America would just be starting our day.

But I think if a WSO is good then people are going to see it regardless. It really comes down to the overall popularity of the WSO above all else. Do you ever notice yourself gravitating towards the WSOs with tons of views and posts? You want to see what the commotion is.

I've done a lot of research on the best time to post a WSO, and the conclusion I've come to is:

        Now.

If you have a WSO to post, post it now. It's not making you any money waiting to be posted. You can get really bound up in what day and time to release your WSO (and if it really matters, my tests point to Tuesday and Thursday morning between 8 and 10 AM Eastern), but the difference in sales is honestly not worth waiting.

Question... can you really control the time of your posting? As you know, all the WSO posts have to be approved. So I cannot know the exact time when they go live.

You submit the WSO, it gets approved, they send you a PM with the payment link. It's up to you when you pay, it goes live as soon as payment is made. So, yes, you control when it goes live.

Yes, I have to juggle the timezone thing as well as the "when it gets approved" thing, so I am afraid that my philosophy is get it up there, and go with the flow, lol

    Have a great day

Sheryl, I started my WSO on a sunday at 9:00 am sharp, by the time 9:00 pm came Monday night, I had dropped all the way to the last position of the first page thread. So, personally, I will start going with sundays.

However, what I experience and what you may could be different. The best thing to figure out when the best time to post a WSO is. Is to "test, test and test"!

I see you are also from Aussie. Post the first "go live" when you can support it. The first PMs and questions come in soon after it goes live. (also the free review requests )

It is important to get back to people asap. I made the "mistake" to take mine live at around 11:00 pm. I had initial issues with my IPN setting on PayPal for the WSPro button (highly recommended) and I had to stay up until 3:00am to field PMs etc. This is also the time here locally that the most US customers get online, so it been fun. Prompt response to posts on the threads are very important in my view and once again I suggest that you go "live" when you can support those first messages.

I find that the best time for bump WSOs is around 5:00 am Sydney time. Fortunately I'm an early riser to go jogging on the beach

I check the forum, bump the WSO etc. first thing. Things go quiet from 11:00 local Sydney time until around 6:00 pm when the UK comes online.

    Hope it helps

    Peter

Well, you have to choose between more peaked and quicker sales / longer visibility on the page 1. It's a bit a matter of luck, really.

I agree totally with Caliban. Why? If you keep thinking about or waiting for the best/right time, you might never get it right because you can't predict what will happen in a big forum like this in the next second.

    Just pray and post.

I have seen many experienced warriors suggest bumping around morning till afternoon US time. However, I think that the Forum is busy enough that any time is a good time to bump. Having said that, I personally will avoid Fridays and Sundays (US time). There is no science behind this but just my gut feeling.
