I'm about to buy a domain and I was doing some keyword research. I have situation if I should add an S or not. ie; LEMONS, LEMON.

according to SEMRush - service for competitors research, shows Google organic and AdWords keywords for any site or domain

S - 33k monthly
without the s - 40k

Now obviously I would go for the high searched phrase but just to make sure.

Good point..is there any benefit in getting both? Or is the traffic overlapped and the extra 7k is different traffic.

Make sure you are looking at exact match... I havent found too many exact match domains for kw's with 33k or 40k monthly searches...
