Privacy Policy,Terms of Use, Earnings Disclaimer

Do I need an attorney to write these up?
Can I alter one from a similar site?

    Much depends on the nature of your product or service, where in the world you are offering it and how committed to providing a quality product or service.

    i.e.If you are selling crap and know you are selling crap and want the Terms to cover your backside legally, then get an attorney.

    However if you are a genuine product or service provider then no you don't need an attorney.

    The Privacy Policy should state what you will do with the customer details that they provide. If you intend to share those details, state so, if you intend to protect those details and not sell them to third parties state so.

    Terms of Use - yes, consult similar sites ToU and amend to suit your needs.

    Just be very clear - the customer needs to feel protected but you need to feel that you are covered against people trying to pull a fast one.

      I've put together a membership site with streaming video. There will be download available in the form of PDF and video files for fully paid membership once the money back guarantee is over. I'm assuming I include this in the Terms as well as the explanation on my site. Thanks for the clarity.
