Anyone notice they removed the contents of the First Name, Last Name, Display Name and Actions column? All of them are filled with dashes in the transactions window. Is it just me or happening to everyone?
Thanks

Happening to me also - I just checked. Just a temporary glitch, let's hope: they've had some problems with the site today ...

I was wondering the same, but here's what's weird - On my PC at home, I can't see anyones name. Yet, at my PC at work, I was able to see this data just fine. Same browser and everything. Not sure why I can't see it at home but I'm able to see it on another PC on another network? Weird....

Just checked and saw the same thing on one of my CB accounts. Hopefully, it gets resolved soon.

But my other Clickbank account has the names in them. So yeah, it's weird.

    Im seeing differently here....

Within the master console I have duplicate accounts???? The other information, such as display name, first names etc are all okay.

Shame I dont have duplicate income

*EDIT - Sorry my apologies, not duplicate accounts. Appears to be a newly added feature showing "Most Recent Paychecks by Account"

    Obviously some upgrades going on.

There was discussion a while ago by CB of doing exactly this for affiliate sales.

I believe there were some questions about the accessing of the sales data by affiliates. As some here are no doubt aware, some people use the affiliate data to contact these people with other offers or add them to lists without their knowledge.

No sadly it is not a glitch. Hardly believable but it was very much intentional.

I actually use the csv files to feed into my stats analysys system and recent changes have been doing my head in. The first change they made a few months ago when they replaced all negative values with a minus sign to parenthesis format. My parser went crazy.

Then they added a "Display name" which wouldn't have been too bad except that they inserted it amongst the other fields instead of adding it onto the end of the records.

Now with these changes we lose the ability to match transactions. We can no longer see how long it takes someone to refund. We can't see if someone is making multiple purchases and we can't cross reference between subscriptions and cross references.

I am actively trying to get them to change things in a positive way and to this end I shall be talking to them about it in the near future. If anyone has any comments, suggestions or complaints about the content or format of the analytics data and csv files then please post them here. I will try to cover as many issues as I can with them.

Yes, sales of your own products will show full details while affiliate sales will not.

I think they've taken it a step too far though by making it basically impossible to offer bonuses to people who purchase through your link.

There's now no way to match up affiliate sales and verify they actually purchased through you.

Copy and paste their receipt to the field in the transactions window that says "Receipt:" and it will find the transaction. I just tested it, works good.

You might see the name but I don't. I think only vendors see the name, affiliates are flying blind.

Yea it is doing the same on mine. They have made a bunch of changes though. If you go to your analytics you will see that you can now hide columns. It also looks like they added a few new columns like the upsales column. So my guess would be once they are finished making all the changes everything should be fixed and back to normal.

Hey everyone this is the answer I received from my Apex rep.

            Hi Steve,

I hope you are doing well.

ClickBank has recently changed policies regarding the release of information to affiliates. ClickBank has taken these steps in the interest of protecting consumer privacy and to comply with payment industry standards, federal and local regulations. For more details on the ClickBank privacy policy, please visit Privacy Policy - ClickBank.

            --

So I called her and told her to give me the real story and not the corporate line. She said that this whole thing was because they were doing an internal audit to make sure they were PCI compliant. PCI is the "rules" that all merchants have to follow to process credit cards.

She said that CB found that in this audit they discovered they were not following their privacy policy and/or the info they provided to affiliates would not allow them to be PCI compliant. So they removed that info.

So I asked her about bonus delivery. Lot's of affiliates give bonuses away. Either manually or using thinks like CBListAutomater.

She is going to ask what can be done within the new arrangement to allow bonus delivery.

As soon as I hear back, I'll let you know.

            Hope that helps.

I know this thread is a few days old, but I wanted to give a quick update.

My apex rep said they are aware of the bonus delivery issue and working on a solution. One of the options they are discussing is providing the entire receipt number.

They are also looking at other ways to fix it as well.

As soon as I know more details I'll be sure to post.

This, as discussed above is a planned change, and this was posted by someone else on another forum - I think it highlights, in a down to earth way why the change was made:

In response to this it was determined that we should remove this information so that we were in compliance with federal and local regulations, payment industry standards, and our consumer privacy policy (Privacy Policy - ClickBank). This change was effective Monday the 18th with the latest system update."

    This is a real pity.

Clickbank was a great way to build a list on small ticket items.

With the majority of item sales under $100, these front ends items really only made sense with a follow-up offer.

Now with no way of making a follow-up offer the economics of some of these CB products cease to make sense.

      ...a pity? Really??

A company doing the right thing by following the rules of Privacy is a pity? Really??

I (kinda) understand where you're "trying" to come from... meaning, you're a little bent outta shape because this new change is affecting your business model in what you perceive as a negative way.. I get that.. but...

Personally, I'd rather have rules and regulations; (such as Privacy Laws); that we all operate by so we're all operating and living (and making money) in a civilized society and not a jungle where only the ones with the biggest gun and most devious minds win.

ClickBank might want to put a checkbox on the checkout page (pre-clicked and VERY apparent) that asks the Consumer if they mind their purchase information, (minus credit card info), being made available to third-party partners.

About time they cracked down on the Scammy Affiliate nonsense. (not saying all affiliates are scammy) <shields head>

This is the perfect way to do it. As an affiliate, why should you get the contact details of the buyer? (If they're not on your list). You are working for the vendor.
