The Simple Trick I Used to Write 5 Quality 400-Word Relevant Keyword-Targetted Articles in a Morning

This is an old writing trick if you are stuck for ideas for content, especially for "conduit" (see the thread around here somewhere) or keyword-sniping content-based sites. Maybe it's been presented before, but here is my take on it.

OK, your site's main proposition is:

How signing up for an online dog training course NOW can help you start earning big money within weeks!

You are sniping, I mean optimising, for online dog training course, right? This is how you come up with article ideas.

Separate out the main words in your proposition e.g.:

signing up, online, dog training, earning, big money, weeks

Now ask a why question in response to each of these words which CONTRASTS this particular aspect to other similar options (see below), and you have your article title, and the idea for the content.

Five reasons to sign up for an online dog training course? (i.e. CONTRAST: why sign up and not just go to free sites)
There are many sites out there on the topic, but when you actually sign up and pay a fee, your level of commitment will be much greater... etc.

Five benefits of an online dog training course? (CONTRAST: why online as opposed to offline!)
When you sign up for an online dog training course you get the following five benefits (over a regular classroom course)...

Five reasons why choose an online dog training course? (CONTRAST: as opposed to a cat/gerbil/elephant training course)
Dog training is a booming business, dogs are very easy to train, and you can learn this skill easily with an online dog training course etc. etc.

You get the idea? Of course it gets even easier if you use numbered points (FIVE BENEFITS, etc.) and we all know that these are great bait. Don't overuse them, but you can still use a structure like that, even if it's not in the title. You would have to vary the titles a little too so it's not obvious what you've done!

Using this simple trick has massive benefits:

- ideas come VERY quickly and the article almost writes itself if you are remotely knowledgeable on the subject.
- you load EVERY article with your target keywords without it seemiing the least bit contrived - see how I got them in the article body text no problem?
- the content is TOTALLY relevant to the niche, no fluff at all, you are answering all the key possible questions a reader might have.

There you go - if you have any writing skill but get stuck for ideas, this trick can help you with just about any sort of product promotion, indeed any sort of writing at all!

This is exactly how I piece of program creates email messages for me. Which I can simply turn into an article really fast just by changing a few things around. However this is also how I have always created almost all of my content. So you have provided a really good tip for all the noobs out there.

Could you explain how you mean, 'creates email messages'? Sounds intriguing!

Oh, by the way, this method has yet ANOTHER advantage in that your article can end up ranking well for long-tail keywords like 'reason to train a dog'. Actually, I checked the Keyword Tool, that's a bad example, there's no traffic for that one But you see what I mean? As long as all your subpages are essentially funneling the visitor back to your main target, with optin forms prominent on every page, or whatever.

Thanks, Markowe. This is a very good method to use to help you create blog posts, articles, special reports and ebooks. I learned something very similar to this from Jeff Herring.

And, awe . . . there's that backlinking thing again!!!! I'm really working on doing a better job of linking my pages. I think linking articles to various pages on your site and not just the main/index page is a good strategy for spreading the love and link juice.

Definitely, that's another good thing, you can lightly link to the other related resources within your site, creating a nice network of links that both keep visitors engrossed in your site, and Google seems to like that kind of linking too (when not overdone). If you have a larger site, that can potentially help get sitelinks generated for major categories, though that is a bit further down the road.

This is definitely a nice way to organize your business... I always ask a question and then ask the reverse of that question...and that always get my creative juices flowing.

for instance..ask yourself why would people buy this product...
what would make people not want to buy this product.

what are the benefits of dog training
what are the drawbacks of dog training.

once i learned to stop procrastinating and using a system to keep my business focused i was able to use the "question method" to gain some huge success.

you can check out my step by step guide in my sig to get motivation to work hard... so now you have the strategy to get results and the "no procrastination" attitude to make sure you get it done!

Thank you for these tips! Just 5 minutes after I read this, I quickly typed out 15 article titles... and the ideas just keep coming!

What I really like about this is that I can definitely see how easier these types of articles are going to be to write, and not to mention, these types of articles should certainly do well for sales conversions.
