Newbie question: How to make my site listed in Yahoo / MSN?

I've just done a web site, and posted a few ezine articles for my web site. I found my site is listed in google very quickly. But after more than a week, I still cannot find my site in yahoo or msn. Have I missed something? My site is done in wordpress, and I do find something like "Yahoo Slurp" or "MSNBot-media" in my server statistics. Do I need to do something, or just wait quietly for it to be listed? Thank you.

It sounds as though they are visiting and spidering your web site so you should appear in their indexes soon.

I suggest signing up for Yahoo's site explorer service where you can submit your sitemap etc. You can also do this with Google.

Thanks for your advice! After two days, Yahoo has listed my site, but MSN still not. I will try a manual submit as you suggest.

But I just wonder if the auto "ping" by wordpress will inform Yahoo and MSN, it seems to work very well with Google...

I'm glad I spotted this thread you started...

the 'add rss feed' to a my.yahoo.com personal page works Ok,
I'm now wondering if there is something similar in MSN ?

I *think* there is a msn.live or Live something or other...
if memory serves that personal start page thingy that MSN has might to the trick

I'm gonna test that out, thanks for posting this, you added to my already overloaded list of things that gotta get done

    Thanks for all your helps.

After a few more days, I still cannot see my site in MSN. Here are what I have done:
    1. I point to my site map at webmaster.live.com.
    2. I've tried to make a simple blog in MSN live space which point to my web site. It is done yesterday and seems giving no effect yet.

Any thing more I can do? Or should I just wait?

    Thanks so much.

why even worry about Yahoo and MSN? If Google is indexing you
quickly, then you should be happy about that! Yahoo and MSN will
grab your site in due time.

I never worry about Yahoo in MSN. I focus on getting my sites
indexed in the big G since they get most of the traffic out of
the SE's. If my site is indexed in Google, they always get grabbed
    by Yahoo and MSN.
