Good day, guys!
I'm currently buried down right in the middle of creating of a new product, and, if you've got a minute, I'd like to ask for your help.

Here are some questions to get you warmed up. No need to answer them all, they're just a guideline of the kind of stuff I need from you.

Do you have a blog?
Do you use it to market yourself or your business?

Or do you just "mass-build" blogs as landing pages, for affiliate promotions, autoblogs...?
Do you consider yourself a blogger?
Do you enjoy blogging?
What do you like the most about blogging? Anything you don't like about it?
Who's your favorite blogger?
Does your blog make you any money?
What blogging software is your blog built on?
Why do you use that one?

What do you like the most about your chosen platform? And the less?
What do you miss from your blog?
What are your weaknesses as a blogger? What are your blog's weaknesses?
Which aspects of "business bloggerness" would you like to dig into?

I'm willing to hear all your suggestions and/or rambles. This is the time for you to speak up! Either post in this thread, IM me, DM me on Twitter (@dcobblestone) or email me (davidcobblestone(at)gmail.com).

Oh, and many thanks for your help

Wow Those are a lot of questions... And knowing me I would answer them all if I was in my home country, but I'm away for unfortunate reasons.

But I use WordPress, and Yes I consider myself a blogger, I also make money from my blog, and enjoy doing it. Blogging is something that helps create a personal connection between you and the reader. That personal connection is what makes me love blogging, I love connecting with likeminded people and I guess thats where I get the attraction to blogging.

If you really want to make money with your blog you're going to want to have that personal connection. You want to build your list from a blog? Do you think people who visit your blog that personally connect with you, would want to opt in more then someone who just sees another random site? Dang Straight.

This also goes the same with Affiliate Marketing, when you establish a personal connection with the person, and then you recommend products, you can bet there going to be considering buying them more then they usually would. Heck, I've known of people, that can recommend a product, and people hit the buy button just because they know if this guy recommends, its good.

And of course, with Product marketing. I remember my first "small blog" that I marketed my first ever "blogging product" to, I made a couple sales in the first few hours, off a blog that until that point, had been making money solely off cost-per-action networks.

That's a nice suggestion, Brittany, but I really wanted to make this a little bit more open than just filling out a survey... Though I'll probably get less reponses!

blogging for me is like a diary on the net. An accessible diary no matter were I am. I just love blogging the moment I started on my very first post. And until now blogging had been a part of my daily routine since I want to publish important happenings that happened.

Cassie, thanks for giving your take. It's good to see not every Warrior is using blogs for business; good to see somebody opening up herself to the world through writing. I used to be like that some years ago; sadly, I don't have time anymore :/

Edit: I'd live to read your blog!

I have always struggled with the definition of blogger.

Because I use wordpress does that make me a blogger? Or am I an affilaite because I make money? or am I a reviewer because I buy products and review them?

            What exactly is a blogger?

Do you have a blog? Yes.

Do you use it to market yourself or your business? Some, yes. I have my personal blog as my journal

Or do you just "mass-build" blogs as landing pages, for affiliate promotions, autoblogs...?

Do you consider yourself a blogger? Yes

    Do you enjoy blogging? Yes

What do you like the most about blogging? The ability to talk about anything. Anything you don't like about it?

Who's your favorite blogger? Guy Kawasaki

Does your blog make you any money? Yes

What blogging software is your blog built on? WordPress

Why do you use that one? Reliability and plugins.

What do you like the most about your chosen platform? And the less? It’s professional look and easy management.

What do you miss from your blog?

What are your weaknesses as a blogger? There are instances of artist block when I cannot write about anything. No matter how hard I persuade myself to, it just wouldn’t work.

What are your blog's weaknesses? Blog entries. I see lots of bloggers who would update their blogs in an hourly basis. Want to reach that state but I can only work on two entries daily.

Which aspects of "business bloggerness" would you like to dig into? Trying high paying keywords as my niche and see if I can really earn from them.

Sorry guys, I spent pretty much all the weekend away from the computer (yay!).

Thanks @misterhu, @hometutor and @oda for taking the time to speak up your mind.

@oda You're very right imo, the line separating a blogger from a marketer can be really thin in many cases. A blog is probably just a tool, and it's how you use it that makes you a journalist, a marketer or just a plain writer!

Very nice stuff coming up here, keep it up people!
