Clickbank tracking analysis? anyone else have this?

I very rarely promote CB products, anyhow I decided to run a short campaign to see if it was worth re looking at this route.

I ran the test through twitter and had the links go through a redirector on one of my sites (Rons software from here! works well enough with CPA and PPV) anyhow I found it odd come launch I had sent through 600 clicks via the hoplink and no sales, logged into CB and checked their onsite analytics program,

woah, according to them only 13 clicks, something seriously wrong!!

Contacted CB and gave them my click stats from my site (still awaiting an answer btw!!).

I was by now considering was it the site, checked the raw logs and everything stacks up with my details I sent to CB.

roll on today; its showing on my site 11 clicks sent via my hoplink and CB are now showing 9 and an order form impression so it appears if their analytics are now coming closer to what mine state it should be!

but how as a massive disparity occurred! and more to the point I cant see CB taking any responsibility for this, how many sales have I actually not been accredited for!

I would be seriously pissed had I ran a paid campaign for this (well maybe not, it would have been stopped v quickly)

is anyone else seeing this with CB?
as I mentioned I dont use it often so whether its related to that account not been used often I dont know

does CB still suffer from cookie stuffing? as thats the only way I can see this as occurred unless someone here as come across this before, I dont accept for one minute I'm the only person seeing this?

It will take me a while to respond to any comments, I'm not ignoring you, I'm now going out to meet a client

As I've stated before, Clickbank suffers from it's own policies designed to put itself before both vendor and customer. The only reason they're still around is they were one of the first so they have a huge database of affiliates.

      gotta agree Rick,

clickbanks answer to this is "We have found that other conversion tracking codes may track a new click if the customer clicks the link to the Pitch Page multiple times.
This can happen if the customer is unable to download the page in a timely manner, and clicks the link more than once. This can also happen if the customer bookmarks the Pitch Page link to visit it at a later date or time. In each instance, your ClickBank account will only show one Hop generated in the Analytics report; however, the conversion tracking software of another company may report multiple clicks."

so CB show 50 hops, my software and weblogs show well over a thousand and different IP's!!, there must have been some serious re clicking by those 50!!

      what a waste of time!!

delayed, this isnt delayed; enjoy your boat, I'll go back to my other methods that dont involve clickbank and funnily enough dont suffer the same differences in hits and tracking.

Id say the clickbank stats are probably accurate - i.e. actually the real number of unique visitors you are sending.. how are you sending the traffic? If this is via ppv or ptc then I wouldn't be suprised at all at this difference - there will be a lot of robots, double clicks, stat manipulation from them and total junk...

(Already answered that question it was from MY twitter account) If this is via ppv or ptc then I wouldn't be suprised at all at this difference - there will be a lot of robots, double clicks, stat manipulation from them and total junk...
the answer is already in my post, I ran it through MY twitter account, and I can also see the visitors stats through my server logs

Tell me this if you are so adament clickbank is right and I'm wrong, why do my cpa accounts read similar stats as to what I see on the tracker clicks? this is out by nearly a thousand! hence me contacting them

howdo-i, you may be right I cant prove or dissaprove that, CB have not mentioned any filtering in this case, all they have stated is above.

I'll put it down to experience again, wonder if it will be another few years before I bother with CB again

Hey i have a similar problem with them too.

I have had to go through CB with many of my affiliate programs as thats what they wont.

On checking 30 days stats on one off the biggest and best Vendors in CB i got 520 hops, 0 hops per order, 40 hops per orderform impressions, 13 order form counts,
1 order form imprssions count and NO SALES ????

yet on another product same time scale

84 hops, 84 hops per order, 12 orderform impressions, 7 order fom counts, 2 order form counts and 2 SALES

Some thing wrong some were surely??

All from Keyword ranking google first page system.

Any advice or should i now think of just doing my own products and selling direct as there is so many out there that just are not upto scratch.

your just tripping out. I thought the same thing yesterday. You gotta look in the left hand down corner when your on the analytics page and look for the box that says "last updated". It may not be up to speed yet! Mine wasn't and I was thinking the same thing as you, but I did a search in the clickbank help place and found out what the problem was.

Your stats might also be counting robots which I think CB filter out. I have had occassions where somthing has bombed my links for no apparent reason causing a huge spike of clicks lasting for several hours to a day at a time. CB filtered most of these clicks but they remain in my stats.

I would be surprised if CB was the cause of this.
