When is the best time to send a broadcast to your list?

I've only just started list building.

Can anyone advise on the best day to broadcast, and the best time of day?

If you broadcast in the morning (US time), is it more likely that the email won't get read cos of the pile up of email overnight?

If you broadcast in the evening, is it less likely to get read cos of less people online?

Does it matter?

    I always send mine around 6-8 am eastern time it works good for me. You get the people opening their emails first thing in the morning. And its there when people get off work, its working for you all day.

    you should test for yourself...actually cause every list is different...you migh have more subscribers from UK or Australia...in my opinion is more important the subject line you use and the relationship you have with those subscribers...

    I generally find it depends on your list if you have a lot of US, Canada ect. I like broadcasting at 9Pm PST. This was when I got really good open rates of 10% because perhaps people are just waking up and checking their emails before heading to the office or in the office. This is for weekdays though.I've stuck around this timeframe ever since.

      Thanks everyone, I think I'll just have to test then. Any difference between weekend/weekday?

      humbledmarket, I think I'll try the next one at the time you suggested, but I'm not sure why people would be waking up at 9pm?
