Minimising Charge Backs - Advice?
If you have been working online for a while at some stage you will get burned by:
- customers that did not pay
- buyers using stolen credit cards
- buyers making unauthorized transactions
- having a website sale go sour (as the buyer and/or seller)
While I love using PayPal, their helpfulness when it comes to digital products is underwhelming (to say the least).
I do use Escrow.com for larger website sales/purchases, but only when the sale is over $1,000.
For websites less than $1,000 I use a website sale agreement (as on Flippa), request 1/2 payment upfront, transfer domain, then remaining payment and transfer website files and passwords.
Does anyone here have a better way of handling it?
Which payment processors do you recommend?
What tips do you have for minimizing charge backs from buyers and/or stolen credit cards?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
