Selling Some Websites & Have Questions...

Hey guys,

As you can tell by my profile, I've been an internet marketer for several years.
In the last 4 years of my life, 100% of my income has come from online marketing.

Over the years, I've tried some things that worked really well, some moderately well
and some horrible. But I've also learned that the top success trait is FOCUS.

So...

I have some sites that are profitable, some that have been profitable and some
that just rank well and could use a product/affiliate product on them to make some sales.

I want to sell 3 websites, but i'm curious where a good place to do that would be.
I'm not looking for insane cash or a % of what they made. I just want to pass them on to
someone who can "focus" on them and make them what I thought they would be.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi there, a great place to start selling your websites is at Site Point. There are loads of other places as well to sell including Ebay but Site Point would be my first choice. Check out the section on established websites (where your sites would belong) and study for a few days the type of sites selling well, the questions asked, and the pricing. Once you have all that info you can put together your sales advice including all the information that a buyer might find relevant and list the site. I would be inclined to list them one a time not all three at once.

Hope that helps and good luck

      Thanks,

Yes I had considered Ebay & Sitepoint, did a google on website selling as well as those for sale. But I see that some ask for anywhere from $25 to $499 to list a site for sale. I have no idea if anyone's even selling any from those sites or not what their success is.

Just don't feel like taking the time to write a wicked ad just to find one of these places gets little or no traffic or something.

    Hey Dan,

It's been my experience that if you want to sell a site fast then just go to DigitalPoint forums and post a thread like "WTS: SITE NAME (X Revenue)". It's free and lots of people will contact you.

If you want a more "dignified" way to sell your site, just head over to SitePoint Marketplace - Buy & sell established web sites, startup and turnkey websites and more and whip up a listing for $20. The buyers in Sitepoint are much more methodical and (from my experience) have a lot more money.

If you need specific help, drop me a PM - I've been trading sites since I started out marketing and know how to do it
