Can You Really Become A Millionaire Doing This?

Let's say you go after a keyword like "how to lose weight fast" you spend 3 years trying to make this keyword first on google with your website.

it gets 246,000 searches a month 246 000/4= 61 500 searches a week
61 500/7= 8785 searches a day.

Now let's say you get half of those searches going to your site 8785/2= 4392.
now let's say you convert 500 of theses searches into sales. and you sell a product that's 60 dollars.

Wouldn't these people be desperate since they are trying to lose weight fast.

you are now making 30 000 dollars a day.
or 10 950 000. a year

Did I just become a millionaire.

What I am basically trying to ask people is isn't better to go for those bigger keywords since it will pay off in the long run

I think your math is a little fuzzy.

"how to lose weight fast" actually gets about 165,000 monthly searches (or 90k if you're in the US). The number you want is exact match, not broad. That's 5500 daily.

A number one spot can reasonably expect to get clicks from 40% of searchers, so 2200 visitors.

Conversion rates *average* 1-2 percent, so 44 sales per day at best.

Little less than $3,000 a day in a perfect world.

Getting #1 in Google can be really expensive too...

But suppose you could get page one results instead, you will have to cut your numbers by as much as 90% depending on where on page one you find yourself...

But in the perfect world, $3000 per day is just over one million per year...

Trust me all those theory sounds sooooo good don't they.

Fact is we have to face reality. It can be achieved but if you you truly want to become a millionaire from this, there is way more to do it.

I can bet all those IM millionaires never became millionaires by achieving a page one ranking.. They have lost of products, do lots of JV promotions, coaching consulting (high ticket products), have affiliates making them tons of sales per day etc etc

I think one of the keys you might be missing in your math is how much will it cost you to get to and STAY at the #1 spot over those other guys? Just because you are making $3,000 a day doesn't mean you are POCKETING $3,000 a day.

That was the first thing I needed to realize.

I am a research guy, and I LOVE it. So it was hard to go build the blog / site, build backlinks, write articles, etc.

Once I made a 1, 2, 3 process the results came rolling in.

This should really be a quote. I'm starting to think the warrior forum should have an "Inspiring Quotes" Section. Haha

      No I hate Infomercials
In fact they make me laugh.
for example they always sell some ab stomach machine. They tell people that they can get great six pack abs from useing there machine for 3 minutes.
The funny thing is some how working your abs makes your entire body look fit lolllllll.

Have you ever seen an over weight person with six pack abs?

99% of informercials are garbage XD

If it were only that easy.

Yes, in theory it sounds like a good plan.

    However...

You do realize that you are competing against other more experienced webmasters, right?

Do you think they are all just sitting by the beach and cashing-in those big checks?

In answer to your question, the right buying keywords can pay off but don't underestimate the competition.

yes I understand what you're saying but you must ask yourself one question why them and not me. They obviously were not born with this knowledge they worked hard and got it. And I do think they are now on the beach cashing those checks

      thanks for reading

...and a millionaire guru wouldn't chase 1 single keyword for 3 years....

They'd find 100's of keywords, have their outsourcers chase them, split test which keywords converted best, focus on those keywords and move onto the next niche all while selling you courses, live seminars, coaching programs, DVD sets, special software etc etc...

    Multiple sources of income....

Why not go for the big traffic keywords AND the long tail at the same time?

This way you will get page one for the long tail sooner with fewer links and as you add more (and better) links you can eventually rank for the more competitive terms.

Over time your site ages and probably gets more content too, those will help too.

    For example:
how to lose weight fast with a natural detox diet
how to lose weight fast even if you are over 50
how to lose weight fast when you hate to exercise
how to lose weight fast while eating delicious food

I am sure if I ran how to lose weight fast in a good keyword tool I would find some related phrases, using that main phrase, that have reasonable search volume and competition I could outrank in weeks or months on my way to the big prize. Even if you never get #1 for the main phrase you will still be getting targeted traffic and hopefully, if you applied good conversion methods, sales.

    that's the idea.

I met a guy who did this and made 500k from one keyword alone. Of course he didn't tell me the keyword, but I did learn his main linkbuilding method which is kinda weird and isn't really spoken about publicly (not going to out it, please dont ask)

Yes, of course. One of my businesses does multiple millions per year and gets 70% of its traffic from one keyword. Of course, it is not just like, get a top rank and make millions. There was a lot of hard work and a well refined sales funnel in place.

Also I am just some random dude on a forum, so I wouldn't put much weight on it either way

In the same 3 years you could have ranked 1 through 5 on HUNDREDS of lower traffic phrases, with more chance of maintaining your spot in Google.

Decide for yourself which theory makes more sense.

Yes, you can even become a multi-millionaire in that niche if you really know how to survive and beat the stiff competition in that niche. It's not all about mathematical analysis; it's all about taking the right steps in the right direction.

I would advice that you narrow down your keyword search to something like "how to lose weight fast for new couples" so that you can swim the river of competition and come out in one piece or betterstil emerge as a warrior.

Nice idea but when you think about it

1.) It will take you at least a year to get page one of google for a competitive keyword.

2.) That 10million that you claimed you would make, isn't true because when you think about it your conversion rates are hugely wild and would it all be free ways of driving traffic?

    Nice idea though

I apologize for sounding like an idiot. But are you going after the weight loss niche for the returns on your SEO time or because you really love weight loss? Because 3 years messing with a niche that isn't that interesting better pay off or else. lol Just my opinion.
