looking for a few online resources regarding software sales

Hey all

we are in the precess of improving our conversion rate for our invoicing software by going through the software frame by frame and improving the GUI etc.

we are also considering a few other conversion increasers such as better wizards, pop-ups when in test mode etc.

I am looking for a few great online resources for this. perhaps a blog featuring information on increasing conversion on b2b software etc.

I have been googling a lot today but don't seem to find much useful information

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks HorseStall, Great resources. I've been considering creating some software so I'm glad I stumbled across this thread.

What kind of software are you considering?

looking at software to help you write articles/content for those articles you write yourself or at least those you modify manually. Of course most people who write articles a lot may have their own system using a
combination of word/notepad/excel so there may not be a big market. So just a rough idea at the moment.

I think there already are several players on this market.

how about software containing PLR articles in the 100000's in different categories. the software then uses some intelligence in writing new articles based on a series of inputs on your part (this could be topic, niche, etc. etc)

            just a thought

With that amount of data your probably looking at a web based program or service. I've seen a few that have their own or users articles stored or suck them from article directories. but I don't think they can do what you suggest. My idea is to store bits of research/ideas paragraphs parts of PLR etc which you could move around and reuse but the only intelligence is the person behind the keyboard. still in the early stages.

Increase the exposure to your software and if it any good it will increase the conversion by itself. Easy way to increase the exposure to it is simply add your pad file to a few more software directories. Give them a free trial for say 15 days or something simple then make it so the software is no longer usable with out the purchase. I great piece of software I use to submit to over 1100 software directories is promosoft granted I have the full version but the free version still post to some 50 sites. If you can increase the exposure first people will start talking about it thus increasing the conversions naturally.

I'm afraid you are missing the point of my question a bit here. Naturally I already use PAD submission software and I do have my software out in the directories.

I also get quite a lot of downloads, have a trial version available at a 30 day trial.

all this is taken care of, what I'm asking is how do i optimize the software itself in order to ensure a higher conversion on the existing downloaders.

      Kind regards
