The #1 IM Tool That Nobody Uses

thesaurus.com

The problem with keyword research tools is that everyone uses them. If you want to grab easy traffic you gotta really target the long tail. Don't forget a hell of a lot more searches take place on top of the terms WordTracker and Adwords report.

For example. Go to thesaurus.com and type in 'treatment' . You get around 10 synonyms. This should help give you at least 30 more combinations for keywords in niches like

- Thrush
- Acne
- Back Pain
- Tooth ache
- loads more...................................

Hope this helps

        HAHA. Good one Harvey!

I also use thesaurus alot for my articles.

I also think some of the synonyms that come up can inspire (affect, animate, arouse, be responsible for) me to write about other things - don't know why... it just helps I suppose to have a wide vocabulary.

I guess the fact that some people responding to this thread - including me - DO use the thesaurus makes the title of this thread wrong. And calling it the "#1 IM Tool" is just a bit over the top - good for attracting eyeballs, I suppose, but hardly accurate.

A thesaurus is useful, I suppose, but too many people need a dictionary a lot more.

For more brain storming... check out the unusual -
...try dictionary of foreign words or dictionary of appropriate adjectives published by Cassell.

For example for property: marketable, valuable, priceless, exclusive, upscale, vast, hot, private, real, rental, corporal, common, profitable...

    Hey Mike,

Thanks for the reminder about the online version....I have been
using the hard cover version on my desk for ages....

The dictionary and thesaurus will become invaluable especially
in today's day and age, where the English language is being eroded
by folks using "hacked" language for emails, sms's and cell phones.

    Regards

    Greg

A thesaurus is a very useful tool to jog our brains with alternate words with similar meanings so very helpful for those of us with writer's block when it comes to creating content. Thanks for the reminder of thesaurus.com.

P.S. Harvey, thanks for the laugh

Thanks for the heads-up. A thesaurus also leads you on, jogging your memory so you can search for even more related keywords.

    Hi

I use a thesaurus when I'm writing articles but hadn't thought of it for keyword research.

    Thanks for the tip.
