Too Late To Profit from Christmas 2010?

I was thinking of building a few Amazon Aff sites targeting hot Christmas toys, products, etc. However, I read on here earlier that it's too late to build a site that will get enough traffic to make any profit. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

    It's not too late, especially if you target very focused keywords
    in the right way.

    There are lots of niches that will get lots of searches but
    not one is focusing on :-)

    It's a matter of getting started now and making sure that
    you focus on products that your customers actually want.

      Go for it! Christmas will be here before you know it so don't waste time. Get out there and sell! Be sure to conduct your research and find the right markets to tap into. Google Trends is a good one to start with but there are many others.

      There are hundreds (if not thousands) of niches to focus on. Amazon is a great place to start. They have excellent ways to search the market. Sorting through their hot new releases, most wished for, best sellers, most gifted, movers and shakers will provide you with lots of useful information.

      Be sure to also target the right keywords and you should be able to clean up handsomely before the holidays

      No it is not too late so long as you can find products that are searched a lot and have very very little competition. I was actually thinking of doing the same thing. Although I know I can get front page results for just about any keyword. If you target very very specific products like I am just going to pull something off the top of my head and is not an actual product. Pioneer xz429 speakers the term is going to be searched a good amount and is very very specific. There for there is going to be very very little competition for the term which should get you up to the top spots in no time at all. 30 days is more then enough time to show some good rankings for very specific products.

    not to late at all...

    2 years ago i put up a christmas site on christmas eve... and it profited on christmas day!

    it made like $500 profit

    7 years ago i put up a site about gas powered scooters right around halloween time... with ALL FREE TRAFFIC it made over $16K in december!

    NO - its not to late... you can put anything up... just get cracking... and never underestimate the power of PPC... you can get instant results!
