Best way to Split test

Hi Warriors,

I'm coming up with a prelaunch site on wordpress and I need advise on what is the best way to split test variations of my prelaunch site.

  1. Whats the ideal frequency to switch between variations? Once a day?
  2. Are there any good (free and paid) automated split test tools out there for wordpress?
  3. How long should I split test to pick the winner?
Appreciate any help.

What I would do is just create 2 different pages in the "page" section of Wordpress and rotate them whenever you want to do split testing.

That should help you figure out which one converts better...

I've used Google Website Optimizer for this type of thing.

I haven't done it in Wordpress though, but I suppose you could put up normal pages and iframe your Wordpress pages to do it. You can either do A/B or multivariate split testing; note that multivariate can just consist of one variation.

The best frequency to "rotate" is to do it on a completely random basis for each visitor that you get.

GWO is good, because it will tell you when enough trials have occurred for the result to be statistically significant.

I'm trying to look for a good Multivariate Test plugin on Wordpress, but seems like all the split test plugins are for A/B only.

Does anyone if a good plugin or tool for Wordpress that allows for Multivariate split testing?

(Good old html...is still the best... sigh )
