What is the difference for an article if I write one and submit to a site like Ezinearticles versus a site like Hubpages?

Thanks

Ezinearticles is an article directory, each article is posted alone, where as if you use Hubpages you actually get your own 2.0 website where you can add and edit more posts and add videos... it gives you more freedom in case of what you want to post.

Also I think Ezinearticles have stricter guidelines and not all of your articles will be published.

Is it possible to say its better to submit to something like ezine instead of hubpages, or vice versa...or are they just 2 different things?

      Thanks

        Hi

Ezine Articles IMHO is the best place to submit your Articles and although they are strict in ensuring you have original content you can very quickly see your Article indexed i Google and showing on the search engine within days.

I have Articles on both and I get way more traffic from Ezine Articles than I do form Hub Pages although to be fair I have not focused as much on Hub Pages.

I do believe that I tried to upload some articles I had submitted to Ezine Articles and some other forums and Hub pages would not accept them as it was already published too many times.

Both are good in terms of getting your articles rank high and fast. I personally prefer hubpages than Eza. Eza is too strict and that really turns me off but that does not mean that hubpages are lenient too. Anyway hubpages will publish your articles sooner and you can literally see your articles ranked pretty high on the search engine very quickly.

Another platform I always use is snipsly.com. They are even better than both Eza and Hubpages in terms of getting your articles index and rank high on the search engine. They are very lenient too.
Infact I got some sales for amazon products from snipsly.com for some reviews that I did half baked....:p

By the way I just submitted an article to Articlebase this afternoon and I noticed that it is already on the first page of google on the 5th position a couple of hours later.

I think I will discard Eza and concentrate on hubpages, snipsly and articlebase for my article submissions.

EZA is an article directory. You submit articles (only) so that it can be freely distributed/republished. EZA does not share their adsense revenue with you. However, EZA can bring you a lot of traffic initially and if your content is good it can get picked up and syndicated all over the internet. This can bring you beaucoup traffic/backlinks over time.

Hubpages is a user generated content site. You create pages with information, images, videos, etc., and in exchange they will share their adsense revue with you. They have a voting system in place and many other social elements in place so you can interact with other users. A good hub can also bring you a lot of traffic. However, hubpages does not permit overly promotional hubs, so if your content looks too salesey or you try to post too many links, they will likely nuke you. Also, they do not want you posting affiliate links in any content that is not unique to HP. This page explains in detail.

Both have ranking power in the SEs.

All in all, they are both good resources. You just need to realize that they serve different purposes.

As long as a Web 2.0 has good ownership, that invests in new technologies for increased user enjoyment and interaction, and is skilled in anticipating the evolution and trends of what the internet users/Google are looking for, the search engine authority will come with time.....just so long as the variable of a viable quality control process is present along with highly motivated contributors that are leveraged creatively by the ownership with generous revenue share, and other methods.

One glaring difference between both sites is that one site doesn't share revenue while HubPages does. EZA can run their business in whatever way they like, however, with time and evolution of the internet, I think they'll gradually begin to see that they'll need to begin sharing revenue in order to simply exist and compete. While many will claim that it is enough, the allowance of a direct call to action is going to be miniscule compared to what other sites offer people for their online business.

...also, among different Web 2.0 sites I have studied, their are incredible differences between the treatment and handling of content. While one site may go to great lengths to ensure that their content is completely original, isn't freely distributed, and doesn't appear on a million sites across cyberspace....in fact, this is goal for many on EZA. I'm not saying that one treatment is the best or not...it is really quite interesting to see just how varied the treatment of content is across different platforms....

        How prophetic.

So far, my experience is that hub pages seem to work better as review pages and there's freedom to offer e.g. bonuses with your review which can often make the difference between getting an affiliate commission and not.

      To tycoon828,

Snipsly.com is a wordpress platform and you can hyperlink any words or phrase with any affiliate link. They are very lenient and can get your article rank almost instantly if your keywords are uncompetitive.

another platform that is equally good is xomba.com but xomba.com is stricter and only accept unique content. Your articles cannot be too sales oriented. But if you know how to play with their rules, it can get your articles to first page google in recored time. I suggest you try both. Hope that helps.

Even ascent quality can get you in, sometimes.

It really doesn't need to be original at all, though, as long as you wrote it (or bought it, and it isn't published in someone else's name). Ezine Articles welcomes content that's previously been published elsewhere. They specifically invite new authors to submit their previously published blog-posts, site-articles and even forum posts there as articles. They request and suggest this in the email course they send to all new authors opting in for it. They also have a special Wordpress plugin available so that people can publish their articles on their blog first, at the same time submitting them to EZA for subsequent syndication there.

I think Hubpages is more likely to rank high in search engines. I also tend to get higher click through rates on HP. I know, at one point, one of my websites was getting something like 200 uniques a day just from HP referrals.
