Facebook Marketing Best Tips

Hey Warriors,

I did not see a thread on this and I am sure people got this question.

One of the biggest buzz words online is this site called 'Facebook'.

I have not had much success with it and find other ways better, however others feel differently and thats fair.

What is your best Facebook marketing strategy?

There is Free (groups etc...) or Paid (Facebook Ads).

Lets talk free Facebook marketing here.

- What is your best strategy?
- What course did you take, implement and worked for you?

Cheers
Mukul

I'm just starting to do FaceBook ads with so-so results. I think the success kind of depends on the niche you are in, and how well targeted your ads are. Justin Goff had an excellent guide in the War Room on FB marketing (using the PPC structure) and it was extremely helpful. I'm using his guide on some offline clients right now and just testing the waters. I'm hoping to report the results I have soon.

    - create a group on facebook -- it's free
    - start inviting people - minimum 100 must join, before you actually start witnessing the power of viral networking. 100 will multiply to couple of 100s in two weeks.
    - start discussing topic of your niche
    - do not share any hop link, referral links -- just get involved in discussion. It's important that you should avoid selling any product on it.
    - after three weeks of discussion, prepare a video presentation to sell your product
    - Do not paste a direct link on face book, but rather paste a link to your video presentation
    - In video presentation you refer or recommend a product with a hyperlink.

    It works great!

Facebook is cracking down really hard on Facebook Ads

They are incredibly strict now. Good luck getting anything with a good CTR through.

I just made a post about this in the main forum. Im curious as to how this will play out.

Don't try HyperFBTraffic. I did and the support was practically non-existent. I have since asked for a refund but got no respond from them and had to use clickbank resolution center.

Basically in HyperFBtraffic, they will teach you how to get a following by making friends with people. They will ask you to make friends with admins of groups. From these "genuine" relationships you are then going to introduce them to you blogs to get traffic.

Another method is through ads on facebook. They don't really teach much strategy or planing for facebook ads.

The best facebook marketing strategy is arguably to create a targeted fan page that you SEO and promote. This fan page should have a squeeze page build into it so that you can persuade the people to like your page and to sign up to your list. (Maybe getting a freebie for doing that).

Then you can build a huge list of leads that you can market to later on.

    Hope that is helpful.

You have to look for members or friends to join your group whom you think can help you in your business growth by sharing tips or by buying something etc.You must have a target group of people to join your group or page.

The way I think of facebook is like it's a stock market of ideas, where "Likes" are the currency. I've had much more success creating fan pages of ideas rather than specific people/products

One strategy that I use on all of my WP blogs is to make sure that I use and implement a plugin "fblikebutton" on all Posts.

next is to tie your blog post to FB using RSS Graffiti. Simply do a search in FB for this in the developers section. This allows for your new posts to be published to FB. If done properly, every new post that you write will have a chance to go viral.

This is also where joining groups or creating a group of your own of like minded people regarding your topic or niche will really pay off. This is a process and over time will definitely pay off.

We have a nework of nearly 100,000 facebook friends right now. And this is responsive friends. How do you do this?

Get a few accounts going and start joining groups that you can contribute things back to (having something automated is very helpful)

Specifically, we joined facebook game groups like FarmVille and you will get a flood of people that will request you as a friend as they need neighbors for their farms.

You then get an auto script like GiftAuto accepts Facebook requests and gifts back automatically! to process your facebook game gift requests automatically.....making all of your "friends" very happy.

And then when you need something (affiliate program) that you need clicked on, they are more than happy to recriprocate

I would say that Facebook can be a very good medium for marketing your product and/or service if you know how to use its various strategies for such. Indeed, some free options could include becoming a member (and the creation of) Facebook Pages, and/or Facebook Groups that correspond to the niche market you are targeting. Pages or Groups? Which is better? Well, it's a matter of perspective really, with each having their pros and cons. Some may find that one or the other, or both work very well. What about Facebook Ads? I've heard of success with this and I would suggest giving it a shot if it's in your budget, and I'm not saying it's expensive if you are doing it properly. I will go on to say that the current Facebook Friend Add limit (I think it's still 5000 max) as of this post is something to consider too. For example, if you had 4000 facebook friends in your targeted niche market...then indeed a certain percentage would more than likely follow a link to your Blog, Website, etc. That % may very well vary for everyone, depending on many variables that are subject for another time...lol, sorry for this rather lengthy post - stay with me, I'm almost done! One more thing, consider and adding Facebook Widgets whether on site, off site, or both. Remember, what works for one person may or may not work for another, but you might surprise yourself one day! Keep a watchful eye on hot trends and model the success of others. I hope this helps!

Facebook ads work surprisingly well. Simply the fact that they allow you target super specific demographics increases conversion. With that being said, nicely designed fan pages with catchy headlines can bring a lot of viral traffic. It really depends on your niche though.

Many people don't use Social Media correctly. People don't log into Facebook and Twitter to buy something. They log on to connect with friends, events and follow people/businesses Fan Pages. Best way to market on Facebook is to provide excellent content with interesting blogs, articles and videos. From these three...you can find a way to monetize with lead capture, banner ads and affiliate products. Its a total numbers game...

This concept really isn't mentioned enough. It is a lot like list building in itself. You wouldn't blast promotional emails to your list many times a day. You give them a lot of free materials to build relationships and to put a personality behind the brand. Once you've gained their trust you can throw in the occasional promotion on a new or discounted product.

I've set up a FB ad with a page about cats just to test what it will do - targeting very specific types of people based on specs I got through Quantcast. It started like fury but has leveled off a little now. Using cost per impressions, which is proving very good value )

I've bought a ton of WSO's to experiment with Facebook, including a great one from Peter Maxwell, that puts your blog in the middle of a page - but I could do with some focussed training on how to use FB properly, as I've a load of stuff I can promote on there. Will check out the some of the URL's you guys have suggested.

    Thanks

    Cool post man,

I think there are obviously two sides to Facebook Marketing...

First there is Paid Ads, which is killer, especially if you are running traffic to an iFrame page or a niche that isnt super competitive. You can still get super cheap clicks.

As for the free stuff, its all about networking and getting involved with people. For instance, lets say you are trying to connect wit a player in the IM industry. Why don't you create a welcome video and post it on their wall, addressing them personally. That will no doubt get their attention and if you have some real value to offer them, you will most likely build a relationship with that person as long as your cool about it.

There a lot of other stuff you can do to appear more professional, like adding a personal message when adding new peeps as friends and what not. Its the little things that set you apart man.

    Hope that helps...
