Late Night Word of Wisdom

I just realized something so obvious, I guess we all know it, but nobody ever said it like that.

Your emails may be read by only 5%, 15% or maybe even 30% of your subscribers, but the very first message is read by all of them. 100%! Nothing will get as much attention as the message that you send out at the first contact, when your visitors turn into subscribers.

So put some good quality material into it, and make sure it's not a stupid one.

Good night.

there's some absolutely amazing advice, but the thing that you must keep in mind as you do not want to overwhelm your new subscribers. Make sure the information is valuable and simple. Nothing too complex or confusing, you will want to play the middle ground and focus on why they opted in to your list.

Developing a relationship with your list can be a very difficult task to have confidence in yourself and don't beat yourself down, if you make mistakes.

So just out of curiosity, and to maybe open you up a little bit more on the subject. Why exactly can you not agree more?

"there's some absolutely amazing advice, but the thing that you must keep in mind as you do not want to overwhelm your new subscribers"

Exactly, and that's one of the things that falls under my statement "put some good quality material into it". Good quality material means that you take a lot more into consideration that you would, just by sending a simple broadcast with an offer for a solo ad for example.

The reason why I posted it, because I was reading some manual and it said - "just grab their info, you will have a chance to send them an offer later".

No description to follow up, no instructions for the landing page, "just grab their info, we'll deal with it later".

All I'm saying is that you should put a little more thought into your first message than most of other messages. Your next 5 messages combined may not be viewed as many times as your initial one and even if they do, they may be viewed by the same people over and over again, 30% may never open another one.

It's something to keep in mind.
