US rural warriors: Are you on dial up or DSL?

Hey guys just wondering who out there lives in a remote location and gets a high speed connection

I know there are vast parts of the the US that are still on dial up

    12 miles out of town on a mountain top. No cell phone service, but decent DSL.

    Waiting for that dang tower...

      Thats cool you have DSL - I don't know how I would survive w/o it

    Was on Screwsnet for a year and that was a miserable experience and they did not deliver what I was being charged for. Went to dialup for another year and that worked out ok, but slow of course. Had to outsource uploading and downloading.

    Now I've got a Droid X cell phone tethered to my PC and have a cell phone booster installed and have much better speed than on dialup.

    I'm in a romote area in north Alabama, and we actually have 15meg cable here. I was pretty surprised about having high speed cable here because many areas that are much bigger are still dealing with dial up and DSL only.
