2 Easy List Building Suggestions For Those Of You Building A List Article Marketing and/or Blogging

Everyone knows it's not so easy to build a big optin list. The first 100 is harder to get then the next 100 and the first 1000 is harder then the next 1000.

While in my opinion there is no better free method to list build over time then with article marketing and blogging, it can seem rather slow to get your optins while you are just submitting a few articles a day until you have a bunch of articles.

I'm writing this thread for all the Warriors who are new to list building and need a little push.

Suggestion #1: Just about every niche has a forum.

This is great for list building. All I suggest for you to do is go to forums that are talking about your niche and write responses to peoples questions.

Just go to Google and type in your (niche + forum) and you should not have trouble finding one. Even in the smaller online business fields.

If you see a lot of threads are talking about a problem then write a thread about it. Make sure you have a little link in your signature to your page though so people can get more information from you.

The purpose of this is to build your credibility and trust. There is no better quick sale to your mailing list then this method because when you are writing your responses to peoples posts you are actually helping them. If you help someone once they are going to think you are full of more information to help them. It might seem simple and not worth your time. But trust me, for those of you starting to build a list there is no better way to do this.

Suggestion #2: Make sure you are giving something away.

You are going to have a hard time getting people to opt in to your list if you are not giving something for it. Getting an email to a list is like money because those people are potential buyers who in the future you are going to be selling to. Since the people opting in are taking the time to read you squeeze page and fill in their name and email give them something they want.

For example: If you are in the dog training niche. Make a short video on how to train your dog to respond to "sit." Or if you are in the guitar lessons niche make a short ebook on how to play guitar so your fingers do not hurt. Or anything. Seriously there is nothing better then free. When people see free they will respond.

There are so many reasons to build a big list and I know it can be frustrating while you are putting so much effort into building one and not seeing results. Try out these 2 suggestions and you should see an increase in your optins. It is always important to be active in forums where your niche is being talked about and asked about. Remember you want to be the "go to guy/girl."
