Affiliate Marketing...Blogger Or Wordpress?

Here are some thoughts/experiences on these subjects;

1. If you have a blogger blog - why not make a Wordpress later on, a new blog instead of transferring? This way you will have 2 blogs, which is great.

2. It is risky to have a Wordpress blogs with affiliate links, unless it is hosted by you. I had ALL of my Free Wordpress blogs shut down because it is against WP policy to make a blog in order to promote affiliate links... Unless of course, if you are hosting it.

3. Adsense... I don't like it on my blogs. Simply because I prefer to earn $30 per sale over $0.03 per click. I'd keep my affiliate blogs away from adsense.

use both I use about 10 different free blog sites when I launch a marketing campaign, just be sure to add some very useful information that will, solve some problems your market is facing, you can never have to many sources of traffic, or presell content.

I'd create as many blogs and websites as you can and link them all together.Use as many companies as you can. And never stop.

If having more than 1 blog...how do you go about not getting penalized with having duplicate content on each of the blogs? I mean, if you just posted on one of your blogs, would it be fine to post the exact same post on your other blogs? Is Google fine with this?

I recommend using WordPress self-hosted from the start. Instead of ad-sense, you can add Clickbank Adrotator that rotates Clickbank products in an adsense format.

Also, after working with WP you might decide to make that your full-blown site!

Then start article marketing!!

You can also move a blogger blog over to wordpress without a problem. The wordpress site will walk you right through it.

I suggest you develop core blog up first....and that should be your selfhosted WordPress blog.

Then build other blogs PLUS any other sites like squidoo lens, links from your article resource boxes and so on around it.

To come up with a proper plan, you need to know where your targeted customers are, what are they searching for.

Test which source is bringing you 80% of the traffic and only requires 20% of your effort and multiply that.

Always follow the 80/20 rule. =)

1. Don't worry about moving your blog to a new blogging system. Keep the old one and use it to funnel traffic to your new site or just use both.

2. WordPress.com doesn't like any kind of marketing or SEO activity and will move to shut it down if it's too obvious. Their free blogs are good for use as supporting sites because they get authority from Google due to their non-commercial nature. As long as you use a little common sense, like not linking directly to offers or posting spammy posts, these blogs can be quite useful.

3. You need to have one fully established site with good content that can pass a visual inspection before applying for Adsense. It doesn't matter where the site is, just that it isn't under construction and that it doesn't look like a "made for Adsense" site.

However, I recommend not mixing Adsense with other offers. Adsense does well by itself in a target niche site that gets targeted search traffic. When combined with other offers it tends to dilute the CTR and earnings both the other offers and itself.

In my experience a Wordpress hosted blog is the way to go. Google loves these kinds of sites.
