Anybody want to make a quick $50? For newbie's only!

I am about to sign up for Hostgator hosting again (after an absence of several months) and want to allow a newbie here to get the $50 affiliate commission from me. Perhaps this will be the first money they have earned online. I've tried to give this to friends but no one was interested so I am offering it here.

There is no catch at all. I just figure I might as well let someone else make $50 off my signing up for hosting than not.

You get $50 as a Hostgator affiliate.

Thing is you will not be paid by Hostgator for 3 months.

Be the first to respond here that you want to do this and I will PM you my personal email address that we can communicate through. You MUST be a newbie marketer. No experienced marketers here need respond at least to get the $50. I won't sign up through your links. I want to give a newbie a taste for success in Internet marketing as was given to me in times past. You must state that you are a newbie or I won't sign up through your link either. I want a real newbie!

I really wish I could have convinced one of my friends to do this but I don't have time to chase more of my friends about this or explain what this is all about to them.

You do have to do some work. You must be able to sign up to become a Hostgator affiliate on your own. I don't have time to be hand holding anyone through doing so. And you must provide me with a Hostgator coupon (readily available at Hostgator) that will allow me to get my first month of hosting for 1 penny.

Also...I make no guarantees how long I will be at Hostgator. Just like any other person you might sign up as an affiliate. If I am not there for at least three months you will not be paid but it is very doubtful that I will not be there for at least that long.

This is between you and Hostgator. All I am doing is signing up for hosting there through your affiliate link. That's it.

If any of this proves to be a no-no by Hostgator or illegal or otherwise it's a no go at whatever point I discover that it is.

Anyway that's my offer.

Carlos

Right now... This very second... You have everything you need to be successful. You have everything it takes , and more , to become everything you have ever dreamed ; and more than you can ever imagine.
You are a success just by coming as far as you have...

      Okay...here are my conditions again...

      1. You must identify yourself as a newbie at internet marketing on this thread.
      2. You must post on this thread that you are interested so that I can PM you (not you me).

I appreciate the PM's that I have received so far and the notes of interest but my conditions have not been met. As soon as a poster meets my conditions literally and to the letter I will reply to them through a PM and sign up through their Hostgator affiliate link.

No offense intended but I will delete any PM's sent to me from this thread as my inbox is nearly full and I don't have time to re-interate my conditions to everyone that might PM me.

I stress again...this is for newbie's who are probably not even Hostgator affiliates yet and who might hardly know what they are doing (this will be a good exercise for them).

      Thanks.

      Carlos

Hi Carlos, I'm still a newbie without any experience. But I'm keen on learning.

    Thanks

Alrighty then. BabyJoe you are the first that met my conditions. As such you will tentatively get my Hostgator sign up. I'll PM you my email address so that you can send me an affiliate link and a coupon code.

I say tentatively because you still must do something for yourself. You must figure out how to become a Hostgator affiliate and get me a coupon.

Admiral Gloom...your second in line if it doesn't work out with BabyJoe for some reason. He responded first though.

Excellent suggestion lokimotion. BabyJoe...I'd check out what lokimotion says and yes I can wait a couple of days I think but no longer as I am almost ready to register a domain and get on with my web development at Hostgator (I still have a little more keyword research to do but that will end soon) so if you can get right on that suggestion and look into it for yourself you might make a cool $100 instead of $50 off me .

Just to reiterate I have no time to help you BabyJoe. I am just too busy but I will sign up through you if you manage to figure out how to at least become a Hostgator affiliate and get me a coupon code for them. You should also know that I don't like Commission junction's terms of service so if I have to sign up with them or otherwise do anything with them I will probably not want to sign up for a Hostgator account through them.

If they just have you give me a link that allows me to sign up straight through Hostgator no problem.

I'll send you my email address now so that you can get me a link to sign up to Hostgator through you.

    Interesting Carlos.

Nice thing to do... sharing the wealth but requiring people to actually help themselves first.

I'll be interested to see how it all works out. I hope you're able to actually help someone not only make a first commission, but also realize the bigger picture of digging in and doing something for themselves.

      Hi Gary,

Yeah...I just wanted to help someone out in a way that did not really cost me anything (not that I am adverse to having a helping hand to someone else cost me something but in this case there was no need to do so).

I mean why sign up for Hostgator without giving someone else the opportunity to make a few bucks on the side as an affiliate and introduce them to affiliate money making in the process? It was a no brainer in that sense.

Having someone else earn the Hostgator affiliate commission from those of us who sign up for Hostgator hosting is such an easy way to help others out who are just getting started on this forum.

        Again Carlos, that's awesome.

It's odd though - so many people have this aversion to affiliate links. I get it, I've seen my share of reports that have no purpose but to spread as many affiliate links as possible, but people will go out of their way to look up a service so they don't have to use an affiliate link from the very person that TOLD them about it in the first place.

I realize not everyone would go to those lengths, but I've had it happen and it almost seems like people think THEY will be paying the commission or something.

Thanks for putting the opportunity out there.

That's just...well...downright weird if you ask me. I guess such persons do not understand what affiliate links are or how they work and as such it scares them off or something. Don't know.

Having others earn affiliate commissions from the few times I get anything that is commissionable is a great way to help others out I think. Our friends, family, or even those on this forum. I see it as an opportunity to do something nice for others that really doesn't cost me anything.

Well here's the ironic part - you are asking for newbies but newbies can only PM if they have 50 more posts ... so how do you exactly define a 'newbie' ?

      Well, he overlooked that part...

Anyway it's nice of him to offer this. Even though one has to wait for 3 months, $50 can still help out a lot in our everyday lives..

        @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Unless I missed something, Carlos stated that he did not want any newbie to PM him. He would PM them with his contact info. I think that works around the PM# issue where you must have 50 posts. Even so, there are "newbies" who have more than 50 posts.

Oops. I'd forgotten about that newbie requirement of 50 posts before they can pm but like you said Iris...it didn't matter anyway since I was the one that PM'nd the newbie .

Just to report back...I just signed up for hosting at Hostgator. BabyJoe...you gave me a coupon of "SPRING" which was swell and right on of you but since I knew there was a coupon for a penny for the first month I used that instead during the sign up process. I was told by Hostgator that this would not affect your commission.

So I changed the coupon used to "hgc25" which according to Hostgator is good for the first month at one penny.

Anyway please confirm from your end on this thread that things went okay and that you indeed got your $50 commission credited to you from Hostgator. That would be an encouragement to all I think that this was followed through and that you did indeed earn your $50.

          Thanks.

          Carlos

BabyJoe, if I were you, I would NOT try out lokimotion's way -- Carlos replied to lokimotion's post and stated that he DOES NOT like CJ's Terms of Service and would probably not sign up for a HostGator account through them.

Make sure you read EVERY post before you take action so you have a clear understanding of what is expected of you and catch any additional information that may change or alter the original post or offer.

Otherwise it may be AdmiralGloom's lucky day when Carlos says, "Next!!!!!"
