Is it true you can have backlinks picked up faster by submitting the link to RSS sites?

What are some RSS sites that will get backlinks picked up by google FAST?

  • rocksteady2010 - honestly, the links that will give you value won't usually be a quick google fix. I'm not saying # of links doesn't matter, but if you had 50 quality links and you were competing against someone with 100 PR1 links, you'll win every time. It's best to really go after the PR 4+ sites by reaching out to them. And you want to get deep links to every page of your site. So this takes WORK!
And don't forget that .edu and .gov sites are juicy.

i would say that submitting rss feeds to the sites i mentioned and the other ones that the other member pointed out ARE of value. it surely can't hurt. and will help get things moving along. i agree that quality PR sites beat out pr0-1 links, however i think that rss plays a good role in the overall backlink process.

i do have a few .edu links i submit to and they work like a champ. if you find an .edu link that allows comments, just make sure you don't waste your time with stupid posts lol. they will only be ignored. make it worth while and you will get that important link i've never found a .gov link yet. only .edu. wish i could :/

      Thanks!
My question is although these sites are for RSS feeds, we can still submit our backlinks URL to them to get credit?! is this how it works?

I'm not sure I understand your question. What is your 'backlinks URL'? Are you referring to something like a profile page where you have links to your main sites? If that is the case then no you wouldn't want to submit those urls or any other url for that matter that isn't an rss feed.

I just started to do this for my profile links. I get shot about 500 a day and have a major campaign im starting for Nov1 throught the end of the year....going to be testing a lot of stuff to see what changes I have to make for 2011 but doing the RSS feed (which I go to links2rss to make) with my profile links is one of them.

Ah yes it would be possible if you actually created an rss feed mashup of your other backlinks. That would likely increase your indexation chances at least, but usually with those type of links you aren't gonna be ranking for anything all that competitive so you could probably get away with a lot less work then having to sign up to every rss feed directory under the sun just to get those indexed.

There IS a way so that right after receiving a backlink to your mainsite, search engines can take notice of it.

I have seen this somewhere before. and it involves something about RSS

can someone please give me an insight on this

feedage, feedagg, goldeenfeed, millionrss, feednuts, feedcat are the main ones i think. i usually use software to help submit feeds, RSS Submit or RSSBot both work well, or you can program RSS submissions into Magic Submitter
